Tomorrow I'm off to get my 'goat fix'

My sister has just moved into a new ‘granny flat’ built on her son’s property. It is really a small two-bedroom house. Tomorrow I am driving there and staying for a fortnight. I will be helping her settle in and also helping them with their goat stud. We will be taking goats to two agricultural shows and exhibiting them in the dairy goat classes. Morning and night, I can also help bottle-feed about 40 baby goats. While they have internet there, I will have much less time than I’ve had the last few weeks but I’ll visit myLot whenever I get the chance. So take care and I’ll see you when I see you. Hopefully I’ll deal with some comments in the morning but I have a mammogram at 8.45am so I won’t have time for too much myLotting. The photo is from years ago but I thought you might like it.

Baby goats are gorgeous but once they grow a bit they can be difficult to control when you're trying to bottle-feed a heap at one time.

I love the photo and am sad i haven't meat a goat in my life time. We had sheep, ducks, chickens but I wanted a goat when I was a kid. Now i will just enjoy your photos.

Like most pets, they need quite a bit of attention and can be very frustrating. The little ones we've been feeding can crawl through the eye of a needle it seems. They are real escapologists.

That sounds like fun. A very good friend loved goats, she would share goat pictures and videos all the time on FB. I ended up liking the page she liked, and now whenever I visit that page, I think of her and her love for goats.
