Flies in the house

I don't know where they all came from! I know that one or two snuck in the back door when the weather was warm but there are like 10 of them in here now and it is annoying. Plus the fruit flies are making a reappearance. It is too cold for them now and there's no fruit out on the counter! I'm going to have to stop at Lowes tomorrow to get fly paper. I already have an old open bottle of wine sitting out on the kitchen counter and it has drowned some fruit flies. Too bad the black flies don't fall for that trick.

When I get fruit flies, I put apple cider vinegar in a small paper bowl and add a couple drops of dish soap. The flies are drawn by the smell of the vinegar and drown.

I have very few now..but this summer I had all these little ones flying around was driving me mad. You let one in, and before you know it they take over.

We get fruit flies periodically with the parrot cage but this year has been the worst by far.

We had a flying bug in our house, last evening. Both Jay and I spotted it, at the same time.

Yuck! We also had some bee infestation, found about 20 in the lower level of the duplex. Not sure where they came in from but my roomies did a big bomb when they were all gone for the day and it seemed to work!

Same here. I have some flies around the sink, no matter what I do to get rid of them--spray Windex, clean floors, fridge and throw out spoiled/expired food. I hear you. All of my fruit are in my freezer. I do have some vinegar bottles in the sink. But I still have them flying around and won't leave me alone.

Oh yes, pesky flies....they don't ever want to seem to leave! We had that problem too, but haven't had any lately.
