To Buy Or Not To Buy

I am planning to buy a flat screen TV when our 13th month will be released on December. However, I have trepidations. I am already good that we watch shows on our phones when we are in bed at night. With a TV at night, my hubby would surely watch shows still while I will be ready to sleep. I can’t sleep with lights on or any lights so I use an eye mask when I go to sleep. Besides, if he will be watching TV while I sleep of course there will be a loud sound. With our phones, we can use earphones if one of us still would like to watch something on the phone. At least, the light from the phone can be blocked by a pillow we can put between our heads. But not when there is a TV switched on. I think, I won’t buy a TV. Do you have a TV on your bedroom? Does it not affect any of you when you sleep and the other one is still watching?

You can use earphones also for TV if you like. We do not have a TV in our bedroom and we do not even use our smartphones in the bedroom, so I do not know what to suggest.

This is a good idea. It's not healthy to have TV or smartphones in the bedroom. I even have the Wi-fi in my bedroom.

Yes, i know it isn''t healrhy indeed ti have a tv inside the bedroom. Too much radiation. That is another reason why we shouldn't have tv insie the bedroom, @dya80dya ?

@SIMPLYD I've never liked a TV in the bedroom as it is made for sleeping and I easily get addicted to TV watching!

Yes, i will do that. And i know i will be happy with no tv in the bedroom anymore. That's because before we have the ild box type tv in the bedroom. I would always be angry because he won't sleep yet and wqtching tv. So, i can'r sleep because of the light and the sound. J have to always use the eyes mask.

We actually have a spare TV in our house. And I was planning to move it on my bedroom but I realised that the bed room should be a place for rest that’s why we have the living room for the TV. It’s more fun to watch TV with the whole family. Otherwise I You plan individual viewing yes the smartphones are pretty good for it already with the reasons you e mentioned above. Maybe you could buy something more useful for you and your family?

Actually, we also have a big flat screen TV in the lobby of the dining room where everyone gets to watch TV. I realized, that if I have TV again in the bedroom, the watching of TV by my husband in the bedroom even if I feel sleeping already would go on late in the evening and that means I will have difficulty sleeping again.

@SIMPLYD well it seems that you’ve thought it out well. What made you want to get a new one anyway?

I still don't have but I am planning to buy one.. But I remember when I was sleeping alone in my parents' room when they were not here, I often forgot to switch off the tv and that isn't good. Maybe that will happen too if I have my own tv.

Yes, what is not nce with the TV inside our bedroom is us falling asleep while watching. IT gives out radiation and that's bad.

@SIMPLYD Oh I see. Is your mother okay? I went to a local mall and its hypermart to buy slippers for our parish outreach this coming November 11 but they are closed for the day so I went to another local mall and I was able to buy 2 dozen pairs of slippers for children and adults. Unfortunately, they won't accept debit card for the items because they are discounted so I had to go out and withdraw cash from the ATM in a hospital some distance away from the mall.

So the spare television isn't being used. I have one show I watch every night, that is why I thought I should buy a TV. However, I watch it through a local app of that tv network. So, I think I will not but anymore. The cons are many compared to the pros.

We have a flat screen in our bedroom. Thankfully we only watch TV here so the children don't get disturbed while studying. However we are not big TV watchers.. and hubby is also very considerate he will not watch anything while i sleep in the same room.

Oh, how really nice of your husband. TV viewing in our bedroom isn't much an issue with my husband. He can go to sleep with some sound and I just cover his eyes with a small pillow because he gets annoyed with the light coming from the TV or even with my mobile when I cannot sleep yet and is on my mobile.

I once have a tv in our room when I and the boyfriend used to live together. He is a sleepy head so having TV lights on is okay for him. But having a TV in bed is okay for me. Because I can stay inside my room almost doing the same thing.

Yes, I have a TV on my bedroom but I don’t use it anymore. I’d rather watch movies/TV series on my mobile phone. But when I am not at home and I am staying at someone else’s house, I prefer to turn on the TV and watch till I fall asleep.

Looks like you are more thinking that watching on cellphones is much better than buying a new one at your bedroom. Well for one there are smart TVs available where you can connect your Cellphone and watch on big screen what you are watching in your CP. If you happen to decide on buying one try that one so you can truly enjoy what you're watching online.

@SIMPLYD Why don't you put the new TV in another room so it will not bother you. I have a flat screen in my salon and it is like watching on a big screen in my own home and I do not have to hear people talking while I am trying to watch. I love mine.
