How far in advance do you pack for a trip?

It’s Monday in my world and a day off with little to no commitment. Which is awesome. I have already done some grocery shopping, ran to the dollar store for a few things, dropped some donations off at the Goodwill and now waiting for another store to open, Burlington Coat factory to search for a new winter coat at a good price. Seems like this store is hit or miss for me. (But then again, aren’t they all?)
I have a short trip coming up on Monday November 12th, one week for today! I have been throwing random things into my suitcase but can’t say I have really packed.
I like to usually pack most things about a week before I go anywhere just so I can get it done and not be a last minute stressed person. Sometimes it works. My sister on the other hand, literally always waits until the night before. I figure, if I HAVE time I might as well.
But being a girly girl I have to try on all my different outfits. See what looks good and what feels good. Etc. so it turns into a longer than normal project.
How far in advance do you start packing for a trip?

I have to try on things too especially if I have not worn them in a while. I try get packed a few days before the trip, but the night before on the body and bath, hair stuff.

Four weeks before a trip I write a packing list and put a star to something which I need to buy for my trip. If it is a visit to a hot destination then I also like to try on my choices of clothing. For my last trip I decided not to take my coat and so did my son. However my daughter decided to take her coat. On our first day we were trying to find Primark to buy warmer clothing including coats. It was in a suburb of Porto and it was hard to find because it was in a mall. Next we went to Madeira and it was hot there so we put our coats away. Packing to go home neither of my children would bother packing and left it to me.

A day or two we are heading out of state for that same weekend prior to your departure. We are driving and it's a short trip so I probably won't even do laundry until later on Thurs. I usually make a list so as not to forget anything going and to not feel like I'm leaving anything before returning, but I'm not sure that I'll bother with a list this time.

I start thinking about what to bring about a week before I leave. During the week I begin to organize items like clothing, bath products, and other necessities in piles and then start the process of packing. I'm packed completely the day before leaving. Don't like to throw it all together at the last minute

I keep telling myself to pack at least two weeks before a trip but I always find myself rushing to do it two or three days before leaving haha

A couple of days in advance, I am not very organized, and tend to be scatterbrained..so even if I make a list, I will undoubtedly forget something! Where are you going?

I start packing early and add to it each day as I remember things I need.

I generally start planning things like 2 weeks out... Buying snacks, planning drinks, etc. Wash/ freshen up clothes the week before... and its usually packed and ready 2-3 days before needed! With me unpacking and double checking the night before because I feel like I forgot something. :)
