8 what you might ask.....well 8 inches of snow has fallen and caused not only massive traffic jams and accidents but it's just a mess out there. Thankfully my daughter stayed home from work yesterday as the roads turned out to be treacherous. Since we got 8 inches of snow it was still a mess this morning so she stayed home from work again today. Schools are closed in our township so my grandchildren are excited to have a snow day so early in the season.
Both my son and my daughter who live in the Poconos got at least a foot of snow.
What a crazy storm to hit us but the sun is out today and some of it is already melting. The plow came through and the snow removal company is here shoveling and clearing the driveways. Thank goodness we don't have to do that ourselves. I don't mind paying my HOA fees when snow needs to be shoveled.
It looks so festive outside I almost want to put the Christmas tree up today. I'm holding out until next weekend but it's going to take some restraint on my part.
Snow makes me want to snack and thankfully we really don't have much in the house to indulge in extra calories. This weekend will be our big shopping expedition since Thanksgiving is on Thursday and I am bringing side dishes to my daughters house.
Our dog Mush was excited to see all that snow and she just jumps in and romps around. Gizmo isn't fond of snow and gently puts his paw in it and if he didn't need to do his business, he's be perfectly happy lounging inside.
Aside from our crazy weather, there isn't much else new in my little corner of the myLot world.

We didn't get as much as you, but any snow is too much for me. They plowed our driveway and shoveled our sidewalk, and I never heard a peep while I was sleeping. It's melting. I went to the gym and did my thing. Tonight is Friday date night, and are going out. The low will be 38, so no chance of ice.

Our lows will be 30 or under at night for several days and the daytime temps just over freezing. But, with it melting and some salt out hopefully our porch will remain ice free. I shoveled somewhat near where we get out of our cars to minimize hard snow. And maybe any ice we get is minimal.
Do you usually leave before your area gets much snow Dianne?

@DianneN yes it surely did and I'm hoping it melts and stays away for a while now. We're supposed to have temps in the low forties Friday. Rain next week unless it changes

You got quite a bit of snow. We got about 4 inches but it is still cold and so it will probably be around for a while.

Cold, crisp and dry this Saturday morning. They keep changing the forecast as far as temperatures go. It is warmer now than they predicted for the day. I am glad. Hubby has "car stuff" to do.

I loved snow days, and wish we still got enough snow to have them. But now schools seem to have them just from the sound of a possibility of snow,

We never got any snow or even freezing rain, but we did have a mysterious power outage. I saw NJ got smacked with snow..on the news. Too bad it will melt before it is time to put the tree up.

I thought maybe by the time the system got to all you out east it would wind down. But, I think you were getting it the same time we were. My husband heard we might hm get six inches yet today but I doubt we got more than four or so. It's hard to tell since I shoveled some last night and again this morning.
I went out this afternoon once hubby and daughter left for work and it's melting from the trees already. I put a little salt on the porch and ramp and did minimal shoveling just so if it melts more we won't have flooded sidewalks.
W would be nice to see the sun after the snow but it didn't pay is any visit today. Maybe tomorrow.

You've had quite the day. I'm glad your daughter is okay. My part of the world has been heaven! Crazy warm for this time of the year but I'm not griping. I had a lovely afternoon outside.

You certainly got hit hard! We were supposed to get some in Dayton but Cincinnati got the inch of snow instead of us and they are south of us!
