Did you ever think you might have accidentally thrown something away, and thn you found it? I had a bottle of aspirin that was almost new. I had only taken maybe 4 out of the bottle, and I could not find it last night, although I was searching high and low. I went in to look a few minutes ago, and was thinking well, it is totally missing, I may have somehow tossed it, which was not good, since I just took the trash out today, but luckily..there it was! The second thing that went according to plan today..Sometimes you have to be grateful for small things..

That's a familiar scenario. One time my husband went on a cleaning spree and accidentally threw away a clear folder of our daughter's school records. Good thing I scrutinized the trash bin before I put the garbage out! I was able to save copies of my daughter's school assessment records, report cards, and merit awards. Whew.

@geenwood88 Yes I would have been less than thrilled if it was gone forever.

@LadyDuck Who knows what we do when not paying attention? Our mind doesn't store the data, or it plays tricks on us. When I took out the trash I noticed an empty aspirin bottle. I thought, could I have confused full and empty? Not likely, but who knows?

@snowy22315 I usually find things in my paper trash can under the desktop. Not too disgusting to check.

That's great that you found it. I was cleaning out my wallet today and flipped out the ibuprofen that I keep there for just in case times. Sally dog zipped over to investigate what fell onto the floor. She probably did not appreciate my scream. I have a fear of the fur kids ingesting a no no.

Yeah it can happen. When my cousin was a kid she ended up with my grandfather's heart medicine in her mouth. Fortunately it was discovered before she swallowed it. She was only abouyt two..it could have killed her.

@snowy22315 My Dad got so that he'd easily lose his potent meds. I dug around near his chair more than once cause of what almost happened with your cousin. I'm glad that your cousin is okay.

It was kind of wedged in a corner, not on a shelf, but not on the floor either.

@snowy22315 When our group first all went on the pension, we were on a ferry and realised we could go across for only 50c. You'd think we had all won the lottery! We were so excited over being able to buy a ticket for 50c!

Yes, I had looked and looked the previous night..but I decided to search again, when I had just about given up thinking I had thrown them away or something..there they were wedged on a corner of a shelf they had fallen, but never made it to the floor.

My shed needs to be gone through big time..my friend is storing some kind of big log splitter type thing in there that weighs at least 150 lbs( he never used it FYI)..he just kind of tossed in there now it is weighing things down.

Mine was worse I threw the money on the trash after withdrawing. I thought that was the receipt and later on I realized I was holding a receipt not the money. I was lucky nobody was around and was able to get it back. I was sweating like crazy that time.
