I'm Sitting Here and You're Sitting There

I love connecting in real time with people I've come to know a little here on myLot. Every now and then I manage to strike it lucky and exchange a few comments in real time with those of you on the other side of the world. Such moments make the world seem all that closer. It's hard to believe I'm sitting here and you're sitting there, looking at our screens and responding at the same time. We may be thousands of kilometres apart and in different time zones but we're making real connections. This photo has nothing to do with making connections, but we have so many sheep in New Zealand - about forty million and only four and a half million people - I thought I'd let you know the sheep are sitting here looking at you too.

A sheep rebellion would be hillarious. They tend to follow each other in a line, one behind the other. What a sight forty million sheep following their leader would be

Back when i was on here years ago i made some great connections. I've lost those connections in one way or another along the way. I hope to make some connections now. Interesting fact about the sheep

People do tend to keep popping up when I started here I discovered many I'd lost contact with on previous sites. Nice to meet you or have we met before and I've forgotten?

I am amazed how many sheep you have in New Zealand. I think New Zealand has such a small population compared to the United Kingdom where I live. Time zones can be very interesting. We will never forget taking a train from Belarus at 17.00 and arriving at 15.00. It has only been a 10 minute journey. We are all making real connections in the different countries we live in. Yes, it makes the world feel closer together.

I'll remember these sheep if I have a hard time falling asleep tonight. Here it is 5:45 PM and these? Isn't it funny that all the dinosaurs have disappeared and yet these seeming defenceless sheep have taken over New Zealand?

That's what I love about this place . . . technology and this site make it all happen with our friends here! So different from the snail mail pen pal days where we'd have to wait for weeks or months. Real time communication anywhere around the world is pretty nifty. Ohhh, that's A LOT of sheep!

I never really think about sheep numbers, but they do tend to dominate he rural farming landscape. That and dairy cows.
