You read a post, think of a meaningful reply, want to type it into the comment box only to find out that the member has blocked you. If by mistake or intentionally doesn't matter here. A frustrating waste of time, especially if the post is of some length!
Dear Mr @myLotBugs, can you *PLEASE* have a button added at the TOP of a post showing the reader if he/she has been blocked by the writer of the post so that they don't lose time reading it.
They could use their time better reading posts by members who like them and they can respond to.
Thank you in advance for considering this suggestion and, hopefully, acting on it.

I hope that @GoAskAlice can do something to get rid of this button. It is creating more and more problems. People do not even realize that they have blocked a user. It is so easy to "touch the button" by mistake using a touch screen.

@MALUSE I checked as well.
Maybe Mylot should have an option...." Mylotters I've blocked" most seem to be accidental and that way we could quickly check.

@Morleyhunt I don't know if the myLot admins check the incoming posts and notice my suggestion. It would be a nice Christmas present for the community if they did and reacted positively!

That would be nice. And if it were a mistake before the actual blocking it, mylot, would ask " are you sure you want to block?" so you have to actually hit the block button twice.
This morning a friend asked me to see why someone blocked her because she had not had words with the other friend. I did. Who knows maybe its the same person and she did it by accident.
Edit: But I cannot think of a reason in this world to block such wonderful people like us!

@MALUSE I don't know how it happens to others but I can't do anything on my phone without hurting something. I archive stuff because my finger slips and I have no idea where the archive is, I un mention people because my finger randomly tapped something, my phone is insane. That may be how blocks happen for others.

Some people may have done it inadvertently but you are right what is the point of reading through a post when you can not even comment on it. Far better use of your time reading others who find you and your posts interesting. I am definitely with you on this one.If you have been blocked I think it is probably because people have not go to know you properly. I know you won't lose any sleep over it but it is very annoying!

It would certainly be useful to know who has blocked you.

I just wrote about it with one member. Yesterday, I happened to want to leave a comment on someone's post, but I did not have the option to comment. And one member here explained that someone blocked me. I did not know why, and now I do not remember who it was to check today.

We are all adults here. We should also be responsable adults so I see no reason at all to have such a button. There wasn't one in the old days here but there was a lot of bother from some people. We got round that without one then and I would be perfectly happy if there was not one now either.
