How SNOBBISH are YOU here?

I had read some posted discussions about being snobbish here. For me, I tried to be religiously reading the posted discussions and managed to give some comments. "What did I get?" Nothing. It has been an old issue or expected pattern for some myLotters do. Honestly, I don't mind at all. I just felt like some people are just snobbish in nature here. I hope they are not like this in the real world.
"Are you one of them?"
"How do you feel when not being commented back?"

I think perhaps the term you used "snobbish" is perhaps a wrong term. It is good for you to interact with others and thereby you will get a some people to read your posts and make friends. Good luck and enjoy it here!

It depends on the situation. It doesn't bother me if I don't get a comment every time I write a response. Maybe the member was busy offline or maybe they missed the notification, but if the member never likes or comments on any of my responses I start to avoid the discussions.

@Shavkat I also think it is better to ignore them. If people never comment I start to lose interest in their discussions. I noticed someone who posts discussions about interesting topics, but I never get comments from him, so I prefer to focus on discussions by other members.

@Porcospino I can sense that I know him. There is one point that he has a superiority complex persona. There are some who cannot accept the truth behind their claims. myLot is a discussion platform. It is not all the time that we need to support their opinions about something. The ending, he or she blocked us.lol

I do agree with you. It depends on certain circumstances. These are valid reasons. As a matter fact, I had noticed that some never give their responses. How I wish to drop their names. Why should I do that, right? It is better to ignore them.

I don't think I'm "snobbish" - but I could very well be one of those who is not responding in a timely manner. I try - but I am not here all the time - and can only say I will get back to everyone "eventually". Some may never get back to me - but that's ok too.

Indeed, my friend. I had mentioned that I don't mind if they don't care about my comments or not bother of reading my posted discussions. Sometimes I wonder why they don't do it. Lately, I randomly visit myLot. For the reason that I need to find other things to earn aside from having an online job.

There are so many here that do not comment. If I remember who they are I do not go to their discussions
About me being a snob. Yes in the real world I am at times (lol)

@Shavkat It has more to do with time zones. Even I do not go to the end of for example recent discussions. I just do a few that I see at the beginning but I comment on each and every response I receive.

@allknowing I do agree with you. It could be with the availability of the members. However, I noticed that this particular person seems so choosy in commenting back. I hope SHE is not putting it as her being superior over me.

In the real world, I can be a snobbish person for those people who tend to be not deserving.lol I mean if they are so irrelevant in having my attention. I am with your opinion that some members are choosy in commenting back to us. I hope it is not a racial discrimination context.

There was one guy here who never commented or reacted to my positive comment. That was my first time to comment because he didnt post interesting actually, just more on politics and religion which i find so debatable. From that time on, i never commented on his posts. Waste of time. He once admitted that he actually chose the posts he wanted to comment on.

@popciclecold Indeed, my friend. Some people will not stop if we don't confront them

I don't mean any harm by not commenting back. Sometimes it's not having anything to say ( better not to leave generic responses) or not feeling well at the moment. Usually I might come back to the post later to add something

@Shavkat It is frustrating and, in some cases, awkward. I can see how it would be patronizing as well

I do agree with you that we don't need to reply back if there is nothing to say. I don't like patronizing others by commenting back just to say something. Some members are like this. I felt uncomfortable being patronized. What do you think?

@cupkitties I tend to ignore this act of others. I wanted to be polite at all times. Sometimes it needs to ignore them and not to feel being patronized.

@Shavkat Yeah, my work has to come first, so I don't always have the time when there are deadlines to meet. As for those who do not want to comment back, it happens, but there are many members on this website so just focus on the ones who interact with you.

I think it is but an act of gratefulness if ever I reply on to a comment on my post. If ever someone ignore me, then I won't read or comment on her post again.

It depends on what situation. If it is a habitual manner, I don't think that it is an acceptable alibi or reason. I am not sure if you had noticed this. I have been a member for more than 5 years here. I had seen some of them do such an act virtually.

If I know people do not reply to the comments they receive then I stop reading and responding to their posts.

If someone doesn't find my discussions interesting then I don't want or expect a response. Not everyone agrees with what I share or likes it and that's ok.

When I have something to say about the post, I'll try my best to at least participate and when someone commented on my post, I also try my best to answer them back. Some reason why I do not leave to some posts because I only have limited or no knowledge about it.
