Did it come to you that you wanted to commit suicide?

Sometimes it comes to my recollection those things that happen to me then. I'll be very honest, there was part of my history that is not very good. I was bullied then and when you are being toyed and muscled by someone you lost your self totally. The grayish color will play to your mind and the scars will remain for at most of one's life. Not until someone will heal you and accept your weaknesses it will forever stay. I've become so fragile because of those sad part. Very emotional and so sensitive. And yeah, there's a lot of time of my history that I wanted to commit suicide. Gladly, I've found an instrument to let my gray emotion out and that is through quill and paper. So, I can say I have a lot of pieces that seem to commit suicide. That's the means I know to alleviate my feelings, the means I know to empty my gray clouds. With that, did it comes to you that you wanted to commit suicide? How did you handle it? Poems: Mysterious Aries

I'm glad that you've gotten away with that kind of prison, my friend. Yeah, since we just need to let the storm pass by rather than to be taken by it.

I've been there. I was in an abusive marriage for many years and I thought my only way out would be to take my life. I am glad that I didn't make that choice because now my life is good. Things have really turned out.

So sorry to hear that. As for me I didn't reached that level of thinking of ending my life in my early years. I never had experienced being bullied anywhere. But I do remember being sad and have low self esteem back then. I survived all of that and there are times that they do haunt me but I can manage them already. It is my son who I am much more concerned since he is undergoing such. I do not know what pressures him to be at this state but base on his consultation with a psychologist he is very much affected by his grades. Although it is shallow in my standards since we never pressure him to excel in school but it is himself that makes this feeling about his grades. We parents never imposed anything on him when it comes to grades for as long as he passes it. But he could never accept a grade lower than his expectations. I jusy hope and pray that he overcomes his situation since I think he himself could order it or counter it. We as parents could only guide him as much.

@simplfred He was brave enough to tell us so we were alerted early on. We've done almost everything consulting counsellors and even a priest to help him but the priest itself told us to seek professional help already so we started him that. So far we can see in himself that there are streaks of depression but is under control for now. What perplexes me is how come he got into this situation since I see no factors that could have triggered it. He is doing good at school grades are average to above average. We are not rich but we can afford to give him his needs but still he feels sad and inadequate.

@rsa101 Maybe a heart to heart talk with him will do the tricks, my friend. How old is he?

Oh, I see. Just always be there for him. In my kind of days, I never let my parents know my situation at school. Kids are very sensitive, they need to be guided. I hope your kid will overcome his situation as time goes by.

How we wish all those who try killing themselves realized it's a painful way.

I see, my friend. Yeah, me too but there was one moment when I was a child that I am already hanging myself. Gladly, I've realized that it is painful to die. Ha ha.

@simplfred It is still stupid. I realize it is a mental health issue, but man...there is so much more to LIVE for than to DIE for.

There are times that I am at the peak of doing it but it is the last thing on my thoughts right now.

@porwest I don't judge them because I don't wore their shoe. Their kind of problem sometimes is not a problem that we usually meet.

He works mysteriously. Though I'm not that religious, I can say "I believe in Him".

Yes, when such thoughts come, I talk and convince myself not to do it. So far, so good!

I've definitely thought about it throughout my life and on more than one occasion. And even today I think about it, However, I was too chicken to ever do anything. And the same is true today.

I think it is nice to be too chicken in that case. Hopefully our chicken will not evolve into eagle. Life is wonderful for me as of now.
