How to wear your food

United States
January 13, 2019 4:53pm CST
I suppose I would be the person you'd want to come to for advice on this subject. You see I walked into my room and sat down just ready to enjoy some of the spaghetti and meatballs I made for supper. Unfortunately, I was so eager to try some (apparently) that the plate tipped just enough for some to come sloshing down. It went all over my shirt and shorts and scalded my leg. Oh yes, I tested the temperature of the food, and it was piping hot. I now have some of my bedding in the wash and more to follow afterwards. I've put the bedding that did not get dirty back on the bed. Some days you have to laugh at yourself.

Don't forget to soak everything in Dollar Store Oxylean before you wash it. That stuff really works!

Oh goodness, I think it's better you sit at a table to eat spaghetti.

If only I could. The kitchen table is full of documents and clutter. It's been cleaned off a time or two but goes back to being cluttered again. Not my stuff and so I won't touch it.

@LadyDuck Yes. I would get a series of folders and offer it to the person but I know they won't use them.

@ScribbledAdNauseum When I used to eat whoppers I would get the food on me so I also wore my food.

@Hannihar Oh, I see. Have you also tried searching online for recipes? There are people who make up recipes that taste a lot like what the fast food places make.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, but they were really good. I am sorry they did not make it here in Jerusalem but we have a great place that makes great burgers so it is ok.

I thought "ugh, I really didn't want to have to do MORE laundry today." Oh well. In the end it didn't get through everything atleast. I have a lot of bedding on my bed to keep it soft. I need to get new memory foam.

It took me a moment to feel the heat of the food. I swiped it off me and luckily it wasn't much that fell on my lap.

The comforter is drying and I have my other bedding and clothes in the washer. I had to rub the stains with detergent as I had no spray.

I also have missed my mouth while drinking. Luckily, I drink more water than anything now and so it wasn't anything that I had to worry about.

Only place for me to eat is in bed or in the den. We have a table, somewhere underneath piles of documents, magazines and trash. Not my table, not my stuff, not my right to mention it...

That is unfortunate for you. I was out with my mum in a cafe the other day and I didn't get a napkin. She started making fun of me, telling me I would spill something on myself. She then promptly dropped her own food right down her top. You are right, some days you just have to laugh!

Your poor mum, I guess that's what they call instant karma though. I've been known to pick at others only for things like that to happen to me instead.

It wasn't hot enough to leave a scar or anything, and I flung the food debris to the floor. I was just aggravated that I had created more laundry for myself.

I had to get up and shed my clothes. I didn't feel the sting of the hot food for a few moments, but got it off of me soon after.

Clumsiness. Just entirely too clumsy for my own good. I was thinking of making Spaghetti again this week, I think I'll pass off on that.

I tell people I learned to eat at preschool. That is when I first noticed that I always decorate my clothes with my meals. You are in good company.

I am glad I am not the only one who collects food stains. I am sure I told you this before, I used to have to wear a spaghetti shirt when I was a little girl. It was mostly for spaghetti but anything that was messy as well. I had three shirts, I think they were all cast offs of my grandfather's. You mentioning you tell people that you learned to eat at preschool reminds me of that.

It happened to me before. I was worried of the sauce because if you dont use bleach, it is hard to remove it,

Yes, it came out of all but one of my blankets. I was going to wash it again but I was too tired, it is a blanket I use as a bedcover and not as a cover for my body so I didn't much mind.
