No story about my name. My mother just named me very well. Could you guess the meaning of my name?

Behind my username or behind my real name? My username is because I like to write. My real name? My dad gave that to me, my middle name is the same as my mom's (except my dad spelled it wrong) and so we are named after my great aunt.

My parents saw the movie "Cimarron" when my mama was pregnant with me. I was named after the actress in the movie, Maria Schell. Only my name is with an E instead of an A.

There is nothing interesting about my first name, but my last name is a mistake. I once asked my father why our name and my uncle's name aren't alike and he told me that our name is a mistake. When my father was baptized they made a spelling mistake when they wrote the name on the document. I asked my father: "Why didn't your family ask them to correct it?", and he laughed and said: "They didn't want to correct it, because they thought that the name looks better with the spelling mistake"

My Dad choose my first name, and my mother wanted it to be Laurie Anne, but he won that round. He did let her have her way with my middle name, which is after her mother. My name has been in my Dad's family for at least a century.
