Being left handed Hi everyone just wondering if this is anyone else on here that is left handed.. For me being left handed makes me feel really different then other people :( Everything is backwards to me which sometimes makes it hard to navigate life When were living in a right Handed world .. It almost feels like a handicap for me .. Sometimes i wonder if my life would have been better if i were born right handed .. Im the only one in my family left handed and none of my kids are left handed either.. Are you right or left handed ?

Lefty here! I am also the only lefty in the family (though it's possible my father may have been born a lefty but old standards made him into a righty). I am actually glad to be lefty . . . while being a lefty, I have had to live in a righty world - so I've learned to deal with both worlds. I'll bet there are not many righties that have had to deal with what us lefties do. So in some ways, I have become ambidextrous !

I'm right handed but my mom was a leftie. I think sometimes we do things a bit differently because we were taught by a left handed person.

I'm right handed... but my mom was left... and I never noticed!! I honestly didn't know until someone asked about DNA and left and right handedness... is that a word lol! I told them that both of mine were right handed... until I was corrected!! I always thought that Mom was right handed!! How on earth did I miss that???

@Nana49 I am right handed. When things have happened to my right side I had to rely on my left and it was not easy at all for me.

@Nana49 Yes, it is very hard since I have always been right handed to have to do things all of a sudden left handed and for you to have to do things right handed would be very hard for you.

I am left-handed too! Believe me we all deserve a medal, I mean we have to struggle so hard to live in a world that's made for right-handed people. They do not know what we face up all the time. LOL

Feeling different is okay since we on a right handed world. But that should not make you feel uncomfortable if you are able to do the work of the majority then I guess you’re as good as the right handed people around you. I think there are a lot of you who are left handed and you shouldn’t feel awkward or different about it.

There are many people who are left-handed so you're in good company. Our son is left-handed and my husband probably should have been.
