Nine Months Until Winter

I know what today is. It's the saddest day of my life. Not really. I love Spring. I hate summer.
So, now the countdown is on again for the first day of winter, nine months from now. It seems like forever. Though I know there is still some winter to go here. Winter doesn't give into Spring without a fight. I expect more snow and cold days before Spring pushes winter out for good, or at least for nine months.
Today is my grandson's 27th birthday, and nothing to be sad about that. He's such a handsome boy. Just take a look at the photo above. That one was taken several years ago at Christmas. I sent him a birthday message this morning on FB so he knows Grandma hasn't forgotten him.
I know you all are enjoying this day. Winter still has five hours to go as of this posting. How are you celebrating the first day of Spring? Thanks for reading.

It's springtime in Florida every day of the year, except summer, although not on the water they say. 
We will return before the first snow, hopefully.

My mom hated summer too... she just didn't like the heat... I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand the cold and I'm definitely looking forward to the end. Even this mornings walk was ruined by the wind chill... still got a workout... we have a lot of hills close by to climb!!

A happy birthday to your grandson! Here we went from cold and rainy to almost hot . . . like we skipped Spring (which is normally that way, except this usually happens much earlier in the year). But today we are half gray half sunny . . . I don't know what's going on.

lol. I think I know what you mean. Your spring is my fall. I have nothing against autumn, it's just that winter comes right after that. lol.

Sorry you hate summer, and are counting down till winter. Hoping the next 9 months go by slow lol, I am not looking forward to winter again :( We are supposed to get some snow this weekend, but if it's in the high 40's it shouldn't stick, thankfully.

Happy Birthday to your grandson..I can't believe you have a grandson that age! I don't even have one! I do know some people who didn't become grands until their 70's though..that is likely gonna be me..at the rate things are going..lol.

Although it's raining here today and only 49 degrees I am excited winter is over. Looking forward to some warmer sunny days and getting started on my garden.
