Signs of Spring

I have seen a few signs of spring today in my yard. The Rose bush is starting to sprout leaves as well as the Lilac bush. You can never have too many holly bushes in your yard. That is what I believe. They are evergreen. You will see green year round in your yard. And they produce tiny red berries the birds love to eat during the winter. I snapped this photo of one of the holly bushes while out walking around today. The green leaves were shining in the sunshine. Still a little cool but lots of sunshine. Lots of birds flying around in the backyard. They are definitely ready for spring. How is your day going? Is your weather looking like spring yet?

Spring is trying to spring but hasn't quite yet made it yet. The first flowers are out though, the little yellow ones, and the willow trees have started growing catkins. It's been quite warm today, should be warm tomorrow too but over the weekend the nights will get cold again and it might start snowing for the umpteenth time.

@CarolDM The weather forecast says we'll get a week with slush :-/ So it'll be no snow in town I guess, it's nearly gone already. Hope spring has sprung for Easter

It's definitely springlike here, not too warm as yet but nice and sunny. There are daffodils, magnolia trees and cherry blossom in abundance.

We never have any season like yours. Ours is only wet and dry seasons for the year. But I experience the first time the spring season in NY when I went there last year. It was very cold still for me to tolerate. I enjoyed it though since I live in a temperate climate so everything was new and enjoyed the difference in climate there from ours.

@CarolDM Oh yes summer here can be very hot that you can even have heat stroke if your always expose to the sun. Then when wet season arrives you would suffer from floods.

Interesting to learn about other parts of the world. Yes it was cold last month even here in TN. It is getting warmer but I don't like the hot summers.

I have a Cherry Blossom tree and a Cleveland Pear Tree. When they bloom I know Spring is definitely here! Here is a photo of the Cleveland Pear. The White blooms do not last long but very pretty when they do arrive.

The weather here is not okay. Sometimes its hot and sometimes its cold. Not any sign of spring. So hope for the next month. Lets see. Just hope for the best.

Wow, that is stunning! I love the different shades of green! I didn't get to be out in the world much today, and since I live in a big city, seeing nature is even a bigger feat. This is inspiration for me to get out this weekend and enjoy the foliage! Thanks!
