What I needed to do to calm my mind,coz sometimes it's really hard for me to sleep at night even I'm not thinking anything.

Hope someone can tell what I needed to do. What's the best thing that I can do.

I sometimes put on the TV and listen to something boring. It helps me nod off. I put it on timer so it goes off after an hour. Perhaps some soothing music would help.

I tried with the soothing music but listening makes me more awake,my body is all pain and palpitating while laying down trying to really get a deep sleep.

@Tonietta You sound quite stressed. Perhaps try a meditation CD. Mindfull meditation is very good. You can get it online.

To get to sleep I've tried staying motionless and breathing slowly. But if it doesn't work I need to get up and do something until I am really sleepy.

@mynameiskate I do this as well. Meditation or just get up and do something if I can't fall asleep within an hour or so. @Tonietta Journaling in a diary of something helps me as well. Sometimes I may be stressing about something if I can't sleep and writing helps me figure out why I'm stressing. Just writing down my thoughts even though there may not be a definite resolution helps gets those possible worries outta my head.

@TishaMears I've kept journals some on my computer, some I've hand written in. They are usually about some goal or ideas I have. I've never been able to write about stuff going on in my life that much. I've read how it helps people so I think they are good for doing what you said.

Thank you so much for welcoming me,I only take coffee in the morning and only 1cup a day coz if I take more than 1cup I'm having palpitation.

Avoid having your meals too late in the evening. Also avoid keeping your phone close to your bed because that is a distraction from sleep. Avoid hot beverages also after sunset.

I do pray first thing in the morning once I'm awake giving thanks for the new life and read the Bible and pray before going sleep.

I'm a shy person,but I do lots of walking nowadays,I use the stairs going up and down rather than the elevator.

My sleeping problem getting better now my friend, been doing brisk walk every day or if I can't do my walk I use the stairs rather than the elevator:)

@Shivram59 for atleast half hour I do fastwalk then do the stairs 1st floor to 5th up and down 5times,I feel a bit better,I still do sleep late but feel better when I wake up.

Ovaltine is a drink grams gave for not being able to sleep!! It's like a coco mix!! U might order online!! It worked well for me!!! Also you could soak your feet in warm water before bed!! You will sleep like a baby!!!
