Pappaya is not good for me, confirmed

Earlier when I had papaya fruit at evening time, subsequently I got stomach pain and vomiting. That day doctor told me not to have papaya on empty stomach. I thought that it might be in evening time so the problem occurred. Yesterday I bought papa but did not ate at evening time by fearing the pain. Today morning I ate some pieces and now I have stomach pain. Even though it is not severe like earlier I am not good at the moment. Pappaya was one of my favourite fruit and I was safe too for eating it, but not anymore. Which fruit makes you in trouble? If all fruits are good for you that means you are lucky. Image from google

Why is it so, did the doctor explain. It's a shame because Papaya is rich in Vitamin C. But of course you will have to let go if it is causing you to be ill

@Sreekala I am sorry to hear that. I hope it pass away soon. You can get traumatized after such an experience. I remember eating squid and it aggravated my toothache. I became wary of eating the same after that.

I think I don't have any problems eating fruits. I am suffering lactose intolerance. The culprit is having milk. That's all.

@Shavkat They are exactly right too. Even doctors suggest for this fruit and myself, find it good for the same. But it was an old story in my case. There is a twist in my life recently.

You have the same case with my grandmother. She also likes to eat papaya as a child but suddenly she got allaergic with it and if she persists on eating even eating a small portion she reacts badly on it. That is why we cut all papaya plants around the house because she became sensitive with the fruits in the plants as well.

@Sreekala I do not know how bad is your allergic reaction with the fruit. Better consult your doctor, he might prescribe a good medicine.

That means I can't eat even a small piece, very sad. Some one told me eat one or two pieces that also adding salt. But to be very frank I am not confident to eat a bit. Now I think it is better to avoid the same completely for the better health. I can't even imagine to get that stomach pain again

All fruit has no effect on me, I think papaya can solidify food waste so that when you go to the bathroom you will not have diarrhea.

@May2k8 Yes, I have given blood for testing and waiting for results. If it alright then will go for endoscopy. IF that is also normal then the culprit will be 'pappaya' alone

Papaya should be eaten cautiously if precarious of it`s consequence. even my wife had a similar experience , she was throwing after having it , actually papaya cause a lot of gas makes the stomach stuffed and uneasy. If you eat papaya , then limit that intake and try to blend it with pepper and salt.

@Sreekala this should not be the takeaway of my words, it`s a fruit with that ease digestion. Rather it eat but keep the count low not to suffer from any gas.

I have a problem with pineapples as they make my tongue bleed. It is because they are not ripe. They are not fully ripened and they never do. So far, I have had no problems with papaya.

@1hopefulman Yes, we have to chose the ripened one. We have lots of pineapple plants on our yards at native place. Plenty of fruits are there too.

I have not any problem with any fruits. All are suitable to me. In these days I am not eating banana, grape, mango and some others fruits which are sweet, because of my diabetes problem. Once in a hospital I spend 11 day only with eating pappaya. But I never felt any problem with it. Till I like to eat at evening when I am feeling stomach problem.

Pappaya if you get direct from the tree, ripened is the sweetest, It will never make any problem. But the one you are getting from fruit sellers won't be sweet enough.

Sorry to hear that, papaya is one of the best fruits, it's not acidic, it has fibers good for digestion. Most people who are constipated are advised to eat papaya. Lanzones is one fruit which I should not over indulge otherwise my stomach acidity are reactivated.
