It's windy!

"Everyone knows it's windy!"
It was hard to sleep during the night as it was and still is very windy and raining quite hard.
Some gusts were clocked at over 110 km per hour (68 mph) which is close to category one hurricane speed.
The widows are vibrating, and things were being knocked about on the balcony.
Over 135,00 customers have lost their power.
I would like to go out but may wait a while to see if it's safe.
I hope your weather is better than that?

It is fine here cold but fine. I love the wind but not at that speed.

Glad your weather is a bit better! 
Yes, some wind is nice but at this speed it is dangerous as things are flying all over the place.

@TiarasOceanView It improved a bit when I went out but it was really cold. A lot broken twigs all over the place I saw some huge branches that had snapped and a couple of trees on their side.

@DianneN Yes, some trees don't survive and so we have to keep planting new ones.

I did go out as the winds had subsided somewhat and I wanted to be part of the experience of this
unusual windstorm. I saw many twigs all over the place, some broke branches and a few trees on their side. Some places got hit really bad!

@1hopefulman That’s what we see after every big windstorm. I noticed a neighbor lost a tree.

I hope your weather gets less windy soon.. We have snow and -4.4 C here and we'll have more snow tomorrow.. I was happy earlier that a good friend drove me to a nearby store to buy food.. It is good to have some extra food at home if the weather gets really bad..

Things are back to normal today. The wind did some damages and one person was killed by a falling tree. We are very sad for his family and friends! 
I guess we can be thankful that we haven't had snow yet as many of us are not looking forward to it but we can't change things.

@just4him We are in the middle of our first significant snowfall. It doesn't look good at this time but it does look pretty from the window.

@1hopefulman My goodness! I do hope the weather has calmed down over there! We are getting closer to Summer here so it's starting to heat up a bit here....sort of. Actually it was so hot yesterday but cooler today. The weather is a bit all over the place. Technically we should be having a lot of hotter days but some days it still feels like Winter.

@1hopefulman That is very true! And yes I heard about it yesterday ( or the day before ). Seems to be a few other out of control fires going on around the world too. It's awful.

Good morning Alfredo! I guess, we are having similar windy weather. I want to go out but it looks very menacing out there and so maybe I'll play it safe and stay home!
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Greater Montreal area, with gusts of up to 100 km/h expected Friday morning.

It was dangerous as the storm did a lot of damage. Thankfully it is over and the weather is back to normal.

I take many photos but that one is from the free photo website called Pixabay. Thy have many beautiful photos there that we can use.
I took this picture of some branches that broke during the windstorm that were blocking the sidewalk. I could have taken many such pictures.

Yes, the wind was very strong and it did some damage to buildings and to many trees and one person was killed by a falling tree.
Sometimes, the weather can be very destructive.
