How Many Times Will I Walk Down the Hall Today?

I headed to the bedroom to get a pair of scissors because I wanted to use them in the basement. I carried laundry to the bedroom and put it away. Then I returned to the living room and headed to the basement. No, I need the scissors. I headed to the bedroom for the scissors. On my way, I took my book to set by my bed. Then I headed to the basement. No, I need the scissors. I headed to the bedroom.... Five times, that is how many times to remember the scissors. Everything that belongs in the bedroom is now there

When this happens to me, I console myself with 'think of all the walking you're doing!'

Why not keep a pair of scissors in the bedroom? You never know when you might need one.

The scissors are in the bedroom. I kept going to the bedroom to get them as I needed them in the basement. I could keep a pair in the basement.

It is hard to keep things in the rooms where they belong.

"Who has no brains must have legs", this is what we say in Italy. It happens to me every day.

@paigea I hate when I forget things that are on the other floor, up and down those stairs become exhausting by the end of the day.

I often walk to the fridge to get things, only to end up taking something else out.

@YrNemo Hubby always mumbles to himself. I will ask "Who are you talking to?" His answer- "I am talking to myself! That is the only way I get the right answer."

At work today, I walked down to our kitchen at the end of the hall four times to make a cup of coffee, and never did get that coffee! I don't even know why. Probably got distracted by something along the way. I didn't even realize I never got my coffee when I was leaving at the end of the day and saw my empty coffee mug sitting on the corner of my desk!

@paigea Haha, yes, it never ends! Today the phone charger. Tomorrow the keys. The day after it's the sunglasses. Yep, it definitely never ends!

By the time I made it to the basement I'd have forgotten why I went there. Glad you held that thought together. I will also say that I though I visited you since this was written. I don't know how I missed it.
