It was very funny today. I spent my time with video chatting with my relatives in the Philippines. We were talking about what is going on there and what is going on in my neck of the woods. I have heard that the chief of police in my Philippines home town is in jail because of extortion. I hope he will really stay in jail. Then, my relatives in Holland kept on sending photos on our Messenger group chat about what they were cooking or eating for dinner. It made me hungry. I didn´t know before then what to cook for our dinner and so they have given me an idea of what to make. I made corned beef with potatoes for our dinner which was eaten with our leftover rice from yesterday. So it was not only me who were cooking corned beef with potatoes but my relatives in Holland and the Philippines. Isn´t it funny? We are living in 3 different countries but we were eating the same meal. What have you cooked for lunch or dinner today? The coronavirus is keeping us together although we live very far from each other. Thanks for reading. I hope you are all fine.

@thelme55 Sounds like a nice meal. I am eating up food in getting ready for our upcoming holiday of Passover. I will have cold cuts for my Sabbath meal and corn. I have to use up food and defrost the frig and finish up for the holiday and then make my meal for our Sabbath for the holiday. I think it will be one Sabbath and we change dishes and then after teh holiday is over change back to regular dishes and get bread. We do not eat bread for 7 days.

@thelme55 Because we are suppose to eat unleavened bread. When the Jews wandered in the desert they could not bake bread so we eat unleavened bread. I am putting a link here so maybe this will help you understand our holiday of Passover:

We had corned beef, carrots, potatoes, and cabbage last week. I made a hash from the leftovers and cooked it for my husband for his lunch yesterday.

It is funny to be influenced by others. I haven't cooked anything today, am just eating leftovers. Actually, though I have a recipie for peanut butter button cookies that are low in points. I thought I would make them today.

That’s interesting that you are all making the same thing. I just spent almost 50 minutes on FaceTime with our younger son. He’s a vegetarian, but gave me a great idea for broccoli tonight.

@thelme55 That’s great! Our older son called last night and told us they were fine in Manhattan, thank goodness. The broccoli turned out great! Thanks.

They deserve prison. I'm sure there is some invisible energy that connects family and friends.

The internet has brought people so much closer to each other. In my mother's day writing letters was the most common way to communicate and the letters would go overseas by ship unless you paid more for it to go by airmail. Now we can see each other as we talk. Quite amazing really.
