Here is the Bird in my Tree ~ Brown Thrasher

Many of you have asked about the bird eggs I posted, and the "what is this" photo showing a thrasher bird in my spruce tree. I cannot seem to get a photo of the bird, he/she is too quick for me. So I found this photo online to show you what he/she looks like. See the yellow eye, this is what I see when I try to look at the nest now. So I will leave her alone for now. Especially after reading this about thrashers... An aggressive defender of its nest, the Brown Thrasher is known to strike people and dogs hard enough to draw blood. Brown Thrashers may come to backyards if food is offered. Sometimes they visit feeders or the ground below to pick up fallen seed. There is a better chance they will visit if dense cover is close by. This one has chosen my miniature spruce tree in the front to build the nest. In a few days they will be hatching. We will see if I get a chicane to see the babies.
Another nest of eggs in the front yard. I was out walking around in the yard a few days ago. I noticed a bird fly out of my miniature spruce tree. Of course I...

That's a really pretty bird. One day, when I'm old and rich, I'll travel around the world to see different birds.

@CarolDM I was at Foula once, an island west of Shetland. Got attacked by bonxies (huge gulls), we had to go with our hands up and a glove in the hand, 'cause then they attacked the gloves.

@Torunn I am not around water, so the birds are different here. Cardinals, bluebirds, mockingbirds, doves, blue jays, etc.

That sounds like the attitude the red wing black birds here have. They dont even like you walking by where they are nesting.

It is adorable looking, but keep away from its nest. Reminds me of those aggressive sparrows up north.
