I have a black eye / myLot

Charlie the Cat tripped me the other night and I crashed over the C2 rowing machine. I smashed like EVERYTHING. My foot hurt immediately the next morning and I think I broke my toe. My foot and my cheek were bruised pretty quickly. I figured that the bruises would go away in a couple of days. They mostly have. This morning I was outside taking the garbage out to the dumpster and I crossed paths with the woman who lives below me. We chatted for awhile and then she said "what happened to your eye?" I was confused but I told her about Charlie tripping me. When I got back in here I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror and was shocked to see that I have a straight up black eye. I look like someone punched me. I fell days ago but only today it turned purple. Yesterday it was totally fine. Oh well. I guess it is a good thing that I'm not going out anywhere these days.

Ouch. Hope that toe is not broken. Ouch, ouch, OUCH! But you sound like Charlie made you into a hot mess. Yikes!

@NJChicaa Sounds like it. Holy crap! I don't know. I think if I were the one with the broken toe and black eye, Charlie might need some medical attention as well.

Oh, how awful! Cats are extremely clever at tripping -- the late Jake tripped me down the basement stairs several times. After that, J told me in no uncertain terms that I was not to use the basement stairs any more.

Ouch! I tripped over a large plastic jug of cat food in the dark, and got a couple of bruises.

Well I'm glad you're ok though. Yah, sometimes that happens to facial/head injuries - happened to both my mother in law and mom last year (they both tripped and fell).
