Oi Pigeon

I’m NOT a poet, but I have been inspired by a title with no poem attached by @WorDazza and a chuckle out loud from @Corbin5. Title: Oi Pigeon, Don’t Poop on my Panels Oi pigeon, don’t poop on my panels For fear I need rush in my flannels To soak, brush, wash, and spray It just may ruin my day Intended for the TV channels

What a poopy poem ! I had a pet pigeon in my early teen years . . . its name was Po-Po (which is the Japanese "sound" that they say pigeons make). I never called my pets by their name . . . I always gave them a nickname . . . and I called my pigeon Poopy (pronounced more like Pee-ew-Pee) .

@DianneN My dad built Poopy a house that sat on top of the swamp cooler thing - so Poopy was free to poop there or wherever else in the yard. Poopy would go on our shoulders though . . . it may have pooped on my clothes a few times .

@much2say That was a good idea on your father’s part. I don’t think I’d enjoy pigeon poop on my clothes too much. Poopy sounds like a sweet and tame pet. I wish Orville would that. I don’t think I’d mind his poop if that were the case.

It is a poopy poem! What a coincidence that you had a pigeon named Poopy. Lol! I hope you didn’t let it sit on your panels.

We had a pigeon inside our home for 5 years. Our sofa was its toilet.

Not bad at all. Certainly better than anything I came up with mainly due to my struggle for rhymes for 'panels'.

@DianneN I even thought of changing the word 'panels' to 'fences' but that was even worse

Oh, my! It wasn’t meant for your eyes. A real writer reading a poem of mine was not my intention. I’m really embarrassed!

@DianneN You should see them pigeons shooting almost daily at the windscreen and handles of my car! I am angry with them birds but too poor to build a garage or a roof over my car (I did ask for a quote, but knowing my talent in driving, I might just run straight into those new posts/legs of my new carport - or walls of the new garage....)
