Stimulus coming tomorrow?

I hope so! My neighbor and I looked it up on the IRS web site the other night and it said that we would be receiving our payments tomorrow on March 17. It will go straight into my savings account for the house fund. I don't need it. I will appreciate it but I don't need it.

Our bills are being PIF, at all the building centers. What a beautiful feeling, not having those debts hanging over our necks!

@NJChicaa With sufficient income coming in, some people over extend their finances. When that monthly income finally shrinks, this creates a problem.

Yup. If we get that check, it will go onto our largest mortgage and also onto our solar panel bill. Sweet.

@kobesbuddy We took a loan against our property so that we could help daughter. That loan will be kicked to the curb by September.

Mine came a couple days ago. I also feel like it’s nice to have but I’m not the neediest either, but I am also padding my savings account with it.

Excited about what? It's our money. We paid for it, and we will have to pay for it. The government does not make money. It collects it. From us. It's our money. It's not free.

I get that. The money has to come from somewhere.

@porwest Like I said--I don't need it. I'm not a burden on the government by being part of their programs. I'll just put it into savings for the house down payment

@NJChicaa So why are we all cheering on more debt? The average American owes $57,000 to the government. After the stimulus and other things Biden has done it has now risen to $64,000. The burden on our children? $111,000. I don't think this is anything to be cheering. We are saddling our children and grandchildren with debt.

You are so fortunate. So many people need it so badly. I hope you get it.

Putting it in the house fund is a good idea.

They're here! They're here! We will use ours to pay the handyman and electrician we have coming the next two weeks.
