I saw this question posed on FB and I immediately answered T shirts, but I think I want to change my answer to hand or body lotion. I have a 5 year supply. I am going to refuse to buy any more unless I get rid of at least two bottles. What do you have an absurd amount of?

I don't have a ridiculous amount of socks in fact I probably need some. Nico has bitten holes in at least 10 pairs of socks. Good thing he is cute!

@snowy22315 I used to have lots of holey socks too. Now I have a habit of getting socks every time I go to the dollar tree.

The really obvious one: stuffed animals. My kids' room is packed with them. The well-hidden: egg trays. I have a hundred or so on hand right now, but I use them for my feeder insect colonies. My landlord's opinion: our reptiles, even though we only have three lizards and a snake so far. She's really not a fan of pets in general, though, so even the neighbors' dogs get the side-eye.

@snowy22315 I think the modern equivalent is Squishmallows. It seems like we have dozens of the things.

@snowy22315 Two weeks ago I emptied all the bathroom cabinets and drawers to check what there was inside. I found so many soap bars, I know that my husband is the one who sees one he likes and he buys. He is now forbidden to buy soaps.

Body wash, OTC pain meds... (We have shelves full of body wash and at least ten bottles of different types of pain meds... I buy the body wash (Grapefruit, YUM!) and Pretty buys a new bottle of pain meds every time she can't find the one she opened last... I just gathered them from the kitchen and bathroom and put them into the hall cupboard so she can find them again. *sigh*)

@snowy22315 She's not taking a lot of them... She won't put the bottles back in the cabinet so can't find them when she does want some... I couldn't get the body wash I liked for a long time last year so am buying several bottles of it every time we go shopping. I'm not running out again.

I don't collect anything. Jay has an oversupply of T-shirts, probably over 100. Also, he collects rubber bands, we only have about 100 in a dining room drawer. Flashlights? Jay has probably about twenty five-thirty of these. I'm not a hoarder.

I don't have a ridiculous amount of anything. I think the most of anything that I own is CDs. I suppose you could say I have a ridiculous amount of them considering I have nothing to play them on! I've got a lot of games and books but I wouldn't say a ridiculous amount of them either.

@snowy22315 I don't have as many as I used to have but still a good selection. I also used to own a lot of cassette tapes but, if I do still have any, I don't know where they are! My husband owns a ridiculous amount of DVDs. We have four full cases of them and some others taking up extra space. There must be 1000 or so. The annoying thing about that is he never watched them as we stream everything now!

I used to have more CD's than I do know..I have less than 50 I am sure. I used to know somebody who had an entire wall covered with them though. He had a real music library.

I don't really have an overabundance of anything. I do have a collection of nic-nac type containers/boxes. Some very pretty ones. I have no place to display them. Ridiculous because I don't have any use for them.

Books, nice linens, and soft blankets. I have no problems getting rid of clothing I don't wear, etc. I get rid of clutter. Books are hard to part with as I have favorites, and I love antique linens. But my rule is one I made up--if I buy something, something goes to be donated. It helps cut down on having too much of something.

I'd have to say, paper products (paper towels toilit paper napkins). No we didn't go crazy buying everything up last year, but we do keep pretty stocked up on those things.
