Smarty Pants Brendel's New Trick

Yesterday I was typing on my laptop. Brendel came and sat in my lap. Then she moved in between my laptop and the table.
And she kept going. Sat right down on top of my laptop. Then turned around and looked at me. As if to say, now you will stop typing and pay attention to me!
She has never done this before. She gets all of my attention. But when I get on the laptop, I guess she feels like I should be looking at her instead. And that is what I did.
Snapped her photo as she looked at me. These cats are so entertaining. I call her smarty pants when she does something new.

Just be glad that she hasn't yet started looking for ways to eliminate the competition there. Really, you're looking at a screen rather than her? Oh, the felinity!

I find that they do not understand when we need to work and think we need to pay attention to them all the time. From what I remember Brendel is shy so for her to do what she did sounds like she wanted to try something new to get your attention.

At least she is moving around. Nico generally stays clear of me and the computer. He knows when I am on it, I am pretty much occupied and he might as well do something else.

My Haiiro used to do that a lot when I was on my computer. Doing the lockdown last year, when we could hardly go out and my fur babies and I would just stay in the room all day, Danie would also do that.1 person likes this

Buttons loved to snuggle on me when I got on the tablet. I would put on some bird videos and she watched them intently.
Ginger is indifferent when we are on our gadgets. She's not as much a snuggler. She wants to be in her room more than she wants to be with us. We'll sit with her, play with her, brush her. She's happy and content.
Smarty pants Brendel is so beautiful.

Mindy use to do this, any time I tried to read a newspaper or a book. She'd climb into my lap and stare in my face? Nope, I couldn't read, with her sitting inside my book!
