A catly Saturday morning

United States
November 20, 2021 10:06am CST
I am not to move from my spot. That was decided about an hour or so ago by two little tabbies who decided that it was time for their mid-morning nap, which has now stretched into their pre-lunch nap. It has been a busy morning here. I have the pawprints to prove it, too. There was racing; there was wrestling; there was a bit of boxing. Breaking up the athletic activities, there was also food tasting ("Mmm... tuna-y"), computer time, and even a bit of meowditation. The humans have not managed to pack quite so much activity into our Saturday morning, however. The important thing, though, is that we have served feline needs this morning. How is your Saturday going thus far?

They take me over and won't let me move until I have posted about them. Then, they still won't let me move until I've either made promises of treats or whined so much about needing to do other things (or that various body parts are falling asleep) that they get tired of it and let me go do human things.

I'm doing my best to keep Roscoe calm .... as if that'll happen .... but he insists on playing or getting a cuddle every few minutes, I'm ready to put him in a cage but that just wouldn't be right. He does love to 'play' with Meetzee, she's the one who growl, hisses and swats at him then he gets to chase her to the door to her room where she can squeeze in and he can't get to her. He loves his kitty toys

I think that it will be a while before Roscoe is acquainted with the concept of "calm." Of course, I can say the same about our kitty boy; he was the one engaged in most of the athletic events this morning. His sister got pulled in as a reluctant participant.

Unfortunately you're quite right, he'll probably begin to calm down (maybe) when he's 3.

My big accomplishment thus far was that I finally got the laundry done. Have to run off to the store in a bit.

I managed laundry here, too, despite the cats helping me by trying to keep me from moving. Surprisingly, neither darted into the laundry closet to supervise me loading the washing machine. Does this mean they finally have faith in me being able to complete that task on my own?

I have had a great Saturday morning, not as great as your kitties have though. I had a 11:20 doctor's phone appointment, but he is 10 minutes late. I hope that he calls soon as I have some things that I would like to get done and I don't want to start anything and then have to stop in the middle to take a call.

Well, it was more the boy than the girl. He was in full "wild cat" mode for a while.

Those cats make the most of their servants, don't they?
