Happy Birthday to my Momma. I was 14 when I lost her unfortunately. But I have lots of good memories. She was loved by everyone. And was the best cook I have ever known. I remember how she would always sing when she cooked. And she baked a lot as well. We always had people over to eat and enjoy her food. My day lilies have just started blooming for the season. I will see one new lily every day. Great addition to any garden. Low maintenance plants. They bloom all summer and into early fall. Photo is mine. In honor of my sweet Momma.

@CarolDM I miss my mother. We had a beautiful last year, when she had to go into a nursing home. It was a time of inner healing, that both of us experienced.

Moms are the best. So many of us argue about how ”I had the best mother ever!” And we’re blessed to feel that way, because a lot of people just want to forget their parents.

She sounds like a wonderful woman. My mom couldn’t cook all that well (but I never went hungry), and she definitely couldn’t sing, but she was the best. We were blessed to have them, and now we’re still blessed with their memories.

It's my mom's BDay tomorrow. She has been gone for several years now. You reminded me of my mom singing in the kitchen when she cooked or baked. I'm staying at my son's house out of state for the next two weeks to watch my grandson. I got to walk him to the bus stop today and it brought a flood of memories from long ago when I walked my own kids. Happy BDay to your mom

@CarolDM It must be very hard for you. 14 is very young. I was 14 when I lost my grandfather and I loved him so much. He used to bake delicious apple pies and pickles and everyone loved him. I am glad you have such good memories of your mother.
