Yesterday, I was substitute teaching in Grade 4. About 10 minutes into the morning, a student informed me I was wearing my mask inside out Sure enough, I was. I asked her, "Why did all the other teachers and students I passed not tell me?". She answered "I think they wanted to humiliate you!"

That's the sort of thing I'd do. I used to volunteer in the archive division of a school and once wore my blouse inside out. In my defence, it wasn't easy to see the difference.

@paigea And, after ten years of marriage, I signed a cheque with my maiden name. We could try to outdo each here with silly things we've done.

@JudyEv That could be a fun post to start. Surely everyone has made a silly mistake. Threads like that get started on the Mysteryshopforum. There are so many ways to make a mistake. Most don't feel silly at the time, but one might as well laugh afterwords.

I have arrived with two different shoes in my bag. I wore my socks until my boots dried

That's a strange answer and also a silly one. I would have told her this. My guess is that they didn't notice it. It is a fact that only few people are really observant. I learned this from a policeman who told me that it is surprising how vague the descriptions are they get from people who had contact with another person. And if several people describe the same person, their descriptions of height, weight, hair colour and clothes differ from each other!

I hope you're correct and they didn't notice. I got a chuckle out of her answer. I'm pretty sure she really thought what she said was true.

Most masks give the same protection backwards that they give the right way around.

@paigea I checked into it after I had mine on backwards one day. The difference on paper masks is 1.7% if worn backwards compared to wearing it correctly. 1.7% isn't enough difference to matter.

Thank goodness for that. I did wonder if it mattered. Now, I won't worry about it.

I think they didn't want to embarrass you if they even noticed. A lot of people wear them backwards.

I agree. Either didn't notice or didn't think it mattered. I was being a bit dramatic when I asked them why no one told me, and her answer gave me a chuckle.

That happened with me too! Wearing mask inside out! No one talked about it. But that's fine, May be they felt I am re-using the mask And saved .1 cent that day

And apparently, it still works backwards.

@paigea It actually, but if you are using disposal masks then you will have threads irritating the face. If you are a male and have beard Chances of having rashes will be very high.

Perhaps they thought it was the latest fad. Fashionistas place tags outside of shirts. Some wear jeans with holes in them. A mask worn inside out could be one of the latest.

Her fellow teachers are too busy and no one ever noticed that the teacher wear the face mask in a wrong way.

I think that is the truth. Just having a bit of fun when I asked the students why no one told me. And the student's answer made me laugh.
