Maybe my expectations are to high

I used to give myself 4 yearly goals to strive for and I had a 5 year plan, where I wanted to be in five years as a person and business, but it seems I allowed that to fade away. Why? I ask myself. I say "allowed" because I didn't want to do it alone, I wanted to share my happiness with a partner who knew my dreams and how hard I had been working toward this part of my life. I also wanted to be the one to lift that person up and share, and help, with their life dreams. In 2019 I was a full time caregiver, landlady, writing 3 books, writing online, homesteading ( growing my own food and home canned it) and I owned sunshine's homestead creations online store, I made all natural body products. Nowadays I feel like my dreams vanished into thin air and everything I worked hard to accomplish was for nothing. I'm cold and I'm just living to pay bills. What happened to my life? Can anyone help me understand?

I remember when you wrote here and you were a caregiver and a landlady and when you were excited about your Sunshine's homestead creations online store. You were doing so well. I am so sad thinking that someone as determinate and good worker as you were is now left with only thin air. We also had an online site and it was hacked, I am glad we did not spend too much time on it.

It took me a year to learn how, buy and use the products before I began to sell them.

Just pick yourself up and start over. You already know how to do it.

Do you think the store where you are working now, would sell your products as part of their sales line? They seem to respect you there, even if they can't maybe they can make some recommendations to you

I like to think it was not all for nothing . . . you have the experience of achievement - you know and have what it takes to get there. You are a go getter and with your work ethics and all, you can roll out revised dreams, even new dreams. Those setback hills might seem too rough, but it's always possible to tackle it one step at a time . . . just gotta find that path that works.

Dreams can be dashed for a variety of reasons. Do not blame yourself for that happening. I think that you could recreate a better version of what you had. We all have learnt so much since the pandemic hit, could you not adjust your former business plans on the changes you have learnt and begin again. I think that it is never too late to begin again. If you tried to target your homestead creations to a market that is always going to be there, seniors' homes or even rehab facilities. I would think that that type of a product would go over very well with seniors as they would be familiar with it and with rehab, you would be trying to offer something to replace an addiction. I hope that doesn't sound wrong, but to offer comfort is probably more what I mean.

Someone took my business and I only found out when I asked for GoDaddy to close my account. I was told I wasn't the owner, however, my PayPal was billed and when it was dried up my bank account. The only way I stopped them was to close my bank account. Yes I still have all my supplies ready to be made, however, no where to sell it.

@andriaperry Can you market it only thru word of mouth orders, almost like going back to the way that avon does business? That is disgusting that someone took over that biz that you put your soul into.

You can have your dreams again; but you are working so hard at your present job that I don't know if you have the energy to do all of that. How could someone have taken over your online business? I don't get it. I would have done something about that.

It's understandable that you feel like your dreams have faded away. It's hard to stay motivated and inspired when you don't have someone to share your goals with. Life can be overwhelming, especially when you're a full-time caregiver and have many other responsibilities to manage. It's important to take a step back and assess your situation. Think about what you have accomplished so far and how far you have come. Reflect on the hardships and successes you have experienced and celebrate the small wins. Maybe there are new goals you want to set for yourself or ways you can adjust your 5-year plan to make it more achievable. If you need help, seek out a mentor or a support group who can provide guidance and inspiration. The important thing is to focus on the future and take it one step at a time.

The Bible says there's a season for everything under heaven. Maybe the next season in your life will be uplifting and encouraging.

I know how hard it is to do, but try to get up one morning and start all over again. Brush the memories into the background and begin anew. That's what I'm trying to do and it doesn't happen overnight. Just wipe the slate clean and start all over.
