I Have a Newish Face

The photo has nothing to do with my new face. I’m not showing my face without makeup on! I had a cleaning, microdermabrasion, deep cleansing, a massage, a mask, a skin calming laser, and oils. The woman worked at Saks Fifth Avenue (my favorite store) in NYC in their spa and at Bliss Spa in NYC. My face has been rejuvenated from the a/c, sun, and everything else thrown at it. I’m going to continue getting professional facials from now on. What a difference and hour or so makes. We had a long weekend away visiting friends in Jensen Beach, Florida. We went on their friend’s yacht, which also didn’t help my skin, but sure was fun. I highly recommend a facial, but hubs refuses to get one Would you?

@DianneN I understand just saying that my face is smooth enough for me to just let it be. I must have my mom's genes she always looked at least ten years younger throughout her life, That is my mom in her 70s ten years before we left for Latvia. She was 82 when we arrived in Latvia and pretty much looked the same. She got sclerosis on the brain and then passed at age 84 when I thought she would live to 100 at least,

I got one once. I enjoyed it. I'd rather spend the $$ on massages though and maybe a pedicure.

Thanks, Kelli. She was very nice and did a wonderful job. I've used Bliss products here and there, but never went to their spa.

@allknowing It is a waste of time putting it on then a few hours later washing it off and watchng it all go down the drawn. However, I've always loved makeup and learned how to apply it best when I modeled back when I was taller, thinner, and younger I still love it!

I would definitely get a facial I think it is something I will have to save up for . Sounds like you all had fun even if your skin did not like it. I highly think you should get facials regularly.

My skin loved it all. The woman kept asking me if the microdermabrasion hurt, but it didn't at all. I was so relaxed, that I almost fell asleep. You are so right! I have an appointment next month for a regular facial and will get another with the micro before I go home. My beauty doctor also has a spa, but I've never had facials there. I will ask him who he suggests I see. I told all of my Florida friends. I hope I don't get booked out

I've never even considered getting one. I'm hoping I can start getting mani pedis if that isn't too expensive.

A regular mani/pedi isn’t expensive. The salons provide different options. I’m sure you can stop by a salon and check your local prices.

Glad to hear it. I have been told to have one every 6 weeks, but was always too lazy or too cheap. Not anymore. I'm going every 6 weeks no matter what.

@DianneN You are welcome. I have to watch our money because things are taken here from the spirit that follows us and can see inside every place we have lived ever since they came into the picture so I do have some things I can do but do not do enough because I have other things to do. The spirit wants to destroy my life and told me in so many words in the computer before we moved from where he started his stupidity. It is hard to explain but since you had a stalker maybe you can understand somewhat what I am saying here.

I haven't had a "pro" facial in a long time! I do those "from the kitchen" things on my face . . . milk and honey, yogurt, cucumber or grapes, lemon, apple cider vinegar etc. But yah, a "real" facial would go a whole lot faster . I'm sure you look and feel mawwwwvelous!

I've done plenty of those kitchen facials which weren't bad. I may not look mawwwwwwvelous, but my skin looks and feels 100% better. I had so much discoloration, dryness, dullness, etc. My makeup foundation rolled off my skin before. Tomorrow will be the test when I put it on.
