How do you kill the procrastination in you?

I hope all is going on well. I have had a nice time with God at the church. So procrastination is the process by which you keep on post poning things that are supposed to be done presently to some other times for no genuine reasons but mere excuses. Most people have however missed their fortunes, opportunities and goodies meant to them by this thing called procrastination. Therefore to kill this deadily hindrance to your breakthrough you must learn to grab opportunities as they come on your way. There should be no chance of making excuses at all that you will do it tomorrow, or some other day as we all know that tomorrow never comes. Have you ever found yourself on this trap, that made you regretfully for missing a golden chance opportunity/fortune that comes once in a blue moon in a lifetime? Have a great my loting time and take care

Sometimes I "just do it." Right now, I may rise and put my dishes in the dishwasher. Or maybe I'll respond to a couple more MyLot posts first.

Yes it can depend on the individual in question sometimes. Some would post pone and end up doing that on time. Thanks for the cool response though. I hope all is well with you. Is it so my friend?

@TheHorse Yes I have now seen. Is it the new loudspeaker? Where do you use it?

I have to agree with The Horse's thoughts: "just do it." I know that's not helpful, but it's how I have to do things. If I don't do them now, I'll probably forget they needed to be done when later comes around.

I just did it now. I was working on that new loudspeaker this morning, but knew I had to get my dishes done. I reached a point where I had to let some glue dry, to I marched into the kitchen and put my dishes in the machine. I basically wash them before I even put them in, but I let the machine do the "sanitizing" part.

Yes my friend. When you post pone some activities you are likely not going to do them on time or you may end up even not doing them at all

That is why, what you can do for today, do not do it tomorrow.

Yes in deed. You might forget what you are supposed to do what you were to do yesterday.

Good advice as I'm a procrastinator. I need to get up and start more of the things I want to do and work hard at them.

I'm not a procrastinator. I like things done right away. My husband is the one that is a horrible procrastinator. Have a good day.

Oh! thanks for sharing that. How then do you do to kill that. Because it's not a good thing for you to embrace on.

There is the saying to “never put off to tomorrow what you could do today”. I guess by having everything done, and in place, you’ll be ready and open for great new opportunities whenever they happen to come your way.

Now that I am older and hopefully wiser, I see that time isn't on my side as in my youth. If such an opportunity arises, you bet I will take it right away.

I used to procrastinate a lot but I'm much better now.

In the past, I also often procrastinated, in my opinion, procrastinating was because the delayed activities had a lot of burden and it took so much thought to complete them. Thus, the brain and body respond by delaying rather than doing it now.

You are absolutely right. The hard and complex work seems to be so tough and not giving you the morale for doing it
