I have experienced and observed that large percentage of people consider Rice as Comfort food and it's popular in different parts of the world. It's not tough to prepare Rice and does not take much of a preparation and Rice can be prepared in a number of ways plus we can add veggies or anything to prepare Biryani or even fried rice and many more things. Do you also Consider Rice as Comfort food?

Rice is our staple food in Bengal. I do have rice in the afternoon but I don't like it for dinner. I make my multigrain roti for dinner.

It is so easy to make, and it goes so well with many other dishes, I think you'd have to consider it in the comfort food category.

I guess rice can be considered a comfort food, for some people. For me? Not really, but I do enjoy rice with various different meals. The brown rice is very healthy, but I prefer eating white rice.

Rice is one of my favorites. I can't cook rice too well but I buy it already made. The sticky rice from the Chinese restaurants is really good. I don't have to cook it.

Agree, rice is indeed a comfort food. Even rice is the staple food here. In my country, a person has not been called eating if they has not eaten rice.

Yes, but it's more like a basic necessity in Filipino meals ever since. Without tice, I can't survive the day. My energy is depleted quickly, so I have to eat rice daily.
