You're Way Too Excited About That!

The price of flour jumped a lot since the last time I needed it. So, I was going store to store.
At one store the 2.5 pound and 5 pound bags were the same price. When I went to the till with my five pound bag, of course it had a different price.
The manager came back to the shelf with me. He pulled all the price tags off the shelf, and phoned someone to come and fix it. He told me I could have one bag at the low price. At least that saved me needing a 10 pound bag for a while.
When I told Hubby my story, he thought I was way too excited with my deal

Flour is something that a home cook cannot really function well without. I usually get the bigger bags, as I bake bread as well. But once in a while, the smaller bags will be priced cheaper per pound, so I always double check to see which is the cheapest. I'm glad you got your lower price, I do know that feels good!

@paigea
I see that a lot with sugar. The big bags are nearly always priced more per pound than the smaller bags.

@paigea Here, I've seen managers flat out refuse to give the customer the sale price even though it was the store's error . . . but I think by law (here anyway) they have to sell it to the customer at that price if the signage was there. But I guess it wouldn't be fair to take too much advantage - yah, even 1 is good.

I wouldn't want a ten pound bag around either. I'm glad he let you have it at the price it showed.

@paigea I've not bought flour in years except for almond and coconut flour. Those are used in keto menus.

I would have demanded the same thing. If they price wrong it's their fault

I also think you were way too excited but I'm glad you got flour at a low price.
Flour has also increased in price since our last presidential election. From $1.30 for 2kg flour to $2.50 for 2kg flour.

Everything has jumped in price, where no matter what you buy
now it's over priced, we can't get a break no matter where you go.

If I think something may be priced wrong, I take a picture of the item with the price under it. We have a store here, that you have to watch checking out that they charge things right. They used to have a deal where you buy 5 meat products (they mark them) for like $16.99..Plus 10% at the check out. I almost got charged the price of each item one time, so from then on I put all those meats at the end so I could see if they charged them right. I have caught Walmart not charging the right price as well. I check everything now days with those scanners, if it isn't programmed right, you get charged wrong.
