What A Scare

Thursday, it was quiet as usual. All of a sudden my dogs began to bark. I mean they were cutting up. I looked out and they were barking towards the woods behind the house. They barked so much and so intense the cats in the house got scared. All of a sudden a gigantic white dog appeared it was really big. I don't think I've ever seen a dog that big. My dogs have never cut up like that either. Eventually he left, and all evening I was thinking of he comes back tonight, I'll get no sleep. But I wonder why he came out of the woods. Very ill at ease.

@popciclecold It's the only thing I could think of. I don't know why cyots look like. But, there also another animal common for coming out of wooded areas and bothering people and animals.

Sounds like a Great Pyrenees. Maybe run away from home. That is the biggest white dog I can think of.

When I was a kid we had a white German Shepherd come in our yard for a few days. He just watched us play. We gave him sandwiches .but we think he got bored and went back home. I hope he wasn't,t lost, but he looked in perfect health

I hope so too. I've never heard so much commotion, I thought it was some wildlife. I hear we have wild hogs in the woods.

It's either a stray or it's from around the neighborhood somewhere close by.

@popciclecold sounds like it may have been a live stock gradian dog, do you have any farms around ?

Wow, if your dogs barked like that, it must've been pretty alarming for them! I wonder if that was actually a big dog or something else ! But good that it left - hopefully it won't come around again.

Maybe it was a husky, some of them are white.

He could have been someone's dog who got off his leash and was wondering around.

@popciclecold When I was a kid, we had a neighbor who had a dog so big that we nicknamed him Horse. I have no idea what breed of dog it was, but to this day I’ve never seen a dog as big as that one.

It could have been a livestock guardian dog that got loose. They are very big and most are long haired
