Dang! I Missed the Eclipse While I Was Eating Oreos

United States
April 8, 2024 4:35pm CST
So I had to make this. Did you 'see' the eclipse? If not, here you go, Oreo. I did, but I didn't have eclipse glasses. So I went outside with my sun hat and didn't look up though. Everything was hazy and mellow yellow like.

Due to the clouds outside there was no sightings of the eclipse today even though Lake Charles is not in the path of the eclipse.

@RebeccasFarm previously (April 7 2024) I saw a crescent moon in the sky during the day, and that too when I wanted to cement the roof of the bathroom.

I saw the sky turn a white-ish grey kind of color. Kind of like cloud cover, but I also saw it darken, too.

@RebeccasFarm A bit. It didn't get dark enough to turn on the street lights or make our solar lights pop on, but it did get dark enough that I deffently noticed.

Nope, I stayed inside and worked on my PC. I took a nap and once I got up I figured the eclipse had come and gone and it was a good sign that the world was still turning, The fat lady had sung and we could get on with life,

@RebeccasFarm that is not bad it gives us more time to enjoy being here, Just will have to wait longer for that journey up into the Milky Way. So meanwhile I will continue to work down here, Can you imagine 8 days have already passed in April and before you know it we'll be discussing what happened to April. Besides what I do online and share with people I am trying to figure out what other purpose I have in life, My Freddie and Tish would say to feed them Have you figured it out?

It was only partial here . . . saw it through a colander on the porch . It got a little weird hazy here, but not by much. I would have loved to have some Oreos while I waited .

We only saw part of the eclipse as we weren't in the direct path of it. We had clouds so it was harder to see but you could tell when it was happening.
