Just a strange song I like

Roscoe says 'Oh really', can you tell?

It's got a unique weird beat, I like weird as long as it isn't an evil weird. What really got my attention in this video is when I noticed the singer was wearing high heel boots.

I was always amazed that The Cars were not more popular than they were back in the day.

@rebelann I got to see a bunch of concerts in late 70's and 80's since I was a DJ

That must have been fun .......... and really loud. Back in the 70s most of us would have had to drive all the way to Dallas to see most big name bands but I did get to see 3 Dog Night.

I'm just now getting into their music thanks to YouTube. Back in the 80s it wasn't as easy to keep up with all the new bands.

I liked their songs but only recently found out who the band was. I was in my 30s in the 1980s.

exactly. Youtube started in 2005 but I don't recall knowing about it until after 2010 when I retired. I actually came across it accidentally and have had a blast looking up my favorite songs and kritters ever since.

In the 80s I only knew of bands if they were in the top 5, like Journey or Sting but I wasn't into music as much as some of my friends were so I learned about the bands they liked. I learned a lot more when I started using YouTube.

Were you chair dancing to this song? I don't know if I would have paid attention to the boots if you hadn't mentioned it. Men wearing boots with high heels doesn't seem all that weird anymore.

I wasn't dancing the first time I watched it but I did the second time. Back in 1979 it woulda been really strange to see men wearing high heels. Come to think of it the only heels I've ever seen men wear is on those cowboy boots but those are usually only about 2 inches.

What a darling face to see as soon as I popped in here! Haven’t heard The Cars in ages. Moving in Stereo was one of my favorites.

Good to see you again, how've you been? I'm so glad you have real world family events to keep you busy. He can be a darling if he decides to. There are a few songs by them that I've learned about recently

Great video! One of those New Wave bands I really liked. Bought a few of their albums. One of the few songs not sung by Ric Ocasek, but instead by bassist (high heel boots) Benjamin Orr. Here's another one sung by the bass player and a really good tune. ("Drive") Late 70's and early 80's clothes were definitely not Hippie 60's, lol.
