Do you know what is in this picture before I tell you? I got this ornament in the mail, and texted a picture to my sister who knew right away what it was. I didn’t know it, but my sister says my nieces really like them. So what is it? It is an Axolotl. How many of you knew that? I know some of you did. Some of you are really up on animals, and reptiles especially (you know who you are).

@xstitcher It doesn’t mean much to me either. 
If I saw one in real life it might freak me out, but put a Santa hat on it and I love the guy.

@wolfgirl569 I wonder if they would be expensive to make. They look like they would be hard because they are so unusual looking. No doubt, you could do it.

I have a friend/coworker who really likes Axolotl. I have not seen one, even in a zoo.

@AmbiePam There is no doubt about that one. He is feeling well now though and has been calm and happy..or at least not complaining about anything so I am happy about that.

It's a Christmas (tree) ornament.
Oh, you meant the animal depicted on it. To be honest, I would have had a hard time figuring that out because of the accessories it wears, they hide the features pretty well.
And even if it had been clear to me it was an Axotolol I would have had a hard time typing the name correctly. Axotolol is my closest guess to the way it is spelled.

Spell check kept trying to change it from axolotl, but axolotl is the name of it.
Actually, the features aren’t really hidden. Where there is a hat or glasses, it would just be blank color. Because I thought the same thing until I saw one without a disguise.
