Do You Have A Month You Don't Like

Is there a month that you don't particularly like? For me it is April. Some traumatic things have happened in this month and when it comes around each year, I become depressed. In 2006 both my Dad and our best friend were diagnosed with terminal illnesses, one day apart. My Dad would pass away later that year. Our best friend would live for another 6 years but would battle each day with his illness. In 2010, one of my pillars in life, my Pop Pop, passed away. He was and is one of my hero's. I miss him every day. He passed away 3 days after what was my Dad's birthday. There are some other things that have happened in the month of April, but these are the biggest reasons April is my least favorite month of the year. The picture is a perfect saying of what I try to do each day, especially in the month of April.

I'm sorry April is difficult for you. I don't have a month like that. My grief is just steady year round.

If there's a month I don't like, I think it would be April--mainly because of the tax nonsense. June 18th was my Mom's birthday, I'll be missing her, and October 2nd I'll think of my Dad, who I'll be missing too. The 2nd of October this year he would have been 83. Mom would have been 80 in June.

Yes, November. That was when my mom had her aneurysm (on Thanksgiving, no less). Plus, the end of warm weather and start of winter weather (usually) and the 24/7 of the same 14 Christmas songs, and…well, you understand. As I have the same reaction to November that you do to April, my prayers are with you.

I used to hate winter when I had to drive my hubby to and from work. These days I am able to hide inside if I choose. i am sorry for your pain.

I am sorry you have a sad month, for sure. I have some times of the year like that, when I lost too many that were important and special to me. I try hard now to celebrate their birthdays rather than the day we lost them...it helps me cope with it all. Sounds dumb, I know, but that's how I get through it.

@Dena91 It's nice to remember them with something like a birthday. I'm glad I am not the only one who does that!

Aww, here's a hug for for your April blues. Mine would be July as I hate the weather! Traumatic events happening are pretty much scattered tthroughout the year.

I'm sorry this is a difficult month for you. For me, it's more like the winter months - not 1 in particular - but I suppose towards the end of the year when the holidays are around.

July for me. it's bittersweet because it's the month my dad passed away in addition to two of my uncles BUT it's also my sons birthday, and two of my granddaughters. Thankfully the birthdays aren't on any of the sad days.

I'm so sorry for your losses. This year everything since February 1 has been hard. That's how long it's been since my husband's been gone. I can't wait until he gets home! Love the meme.

Sorry it’s a rough month for ya, but that’s a cute saying you’ve got up there and I love how each color layer slowly blends into the next. I can’t stand August. Lots of bees chasing me and Too H-O-T

Its quite tough to associate those memories to a month as months come by yearly. I hope with time the pain will lessen. Personally, if there'll be months that I find difficult, it's undoubtedly the scorching summer months of March and April. The heat during those months can feel unbearable, like being trapped in an unforgiving furnace!

i am sorry and wish this month goes faster for you. i don't like december and january due to that holiday rush and any holiday cause it lasts longer, celebration i mean. i also don't like my birthday in february. like a child, hope for some good things but ends up the same.

No particular month. But my father passed away on January 4th, and my girlfriend passed away on June 4th, so 4ths are odd days for me.

I don't really have a least-liked month. I have a nephew who hates May because so many 'bad' things have happened to him in May.
