What is your favorite travel experience in the United States? I really enjoyed going up to "Copper Country" on the upper peninsula of Michigan. It was a nice drive. We went to a mineral museum. I have always liked to look at "pretty rocks".

Not a whole darn lot. I lived in Illinois for 20 years. Joined the army wet to Missouri for basic. I got stationed in Kentucky. I have been to NC with my husband twice. we plan on moving there in a year or so.

Did you get to see and enjoy the Ozarks while in Missouri? What makes you want to move to North Carolina? I know it is pretty, but I know very little else about it.

I've travelled all over the place: Asia, Europe, Australasia but i've only ever visited Florida in the states. I'm a typical Brit, only venturing to Disney Land!

Do you have a job that allows or requires you to travel? That seems like a lot, I would love to be able to do the same, and see the British Isles, too.

I did a lot more traveling when I was younger than I do now. When I was in my mid 20's I camped and hiked the Appalachian mountains and followed them from their beginning in Georgia all the way up to New York. I think that was probably my most favorite travel experience. It was really exciting, and a great way to see nature at it's finest. I've also traveled to Michigan, Illinois, all the New England states (on a motorcycle all the way from Ohio.) I've also traveled down the East Coast and up into Canada. I bet the mineral museum you visited was really neat! I've been in some caves that have some beautiful mineral displays.

You did have some fun experiences. I have heard about the trail in the Appalachian Mountains. I keep waiting to get in better shape, but at 50 plus, I probably will never be in much better shape, so I should do some of that stuff now. Thanks for the response.

My favorite travel place that I have been to is Honolulu, Hawaii. I have been there twice and it is incredibly beautiful there and hope to go again someday. The weather was nice, the beaches are the best in the states and the people are friendly there.

I have done more traveling when I met and married my husband then I ever have. My favorite trip other than disneyland with my family was my trip to georgia when I first met him. I met him in Illinois, but he got laid off, and he had to go to georgia for training. I went out for a few days. I was so nervous, I had never been on a plane before.

That first airplane ride can be quite an experience. I was coached through mine by teenagers from our church. I was their adult Bible Quiz sponsor and I flew to Seattle, from Kansas City. We were supposed to transfer at Dallas, but got rerouted to Chicago because of thunderstorms. What did you like about Georgia?

hey there...I'm from Michigan but have never been to that area of the UP. I love heading up north to Traverse City and Mackinaw Island. In the US, I have traveled to NY, VT, FL, MD, OH, IL, TN, AZ and NV. I have driven through but not stayed in KY, PA, GA, VA and NJ. My most favorite travel experience would probably be driving down to Nashville. We stayed at the Opryland Hotel and had a wonderful time!
