that no one is going to take care of you but you. I have learned that I have to make sure that I am happy and my son is happy and I have to make sure I am the one doing that for us because no one else is going to.

All that glitters aint gold. My mom used to tell me that about the men I have dated, when I used to go to car lots and try to get the most expensive cars etc. Basically saying just because it looks good to you dont mean its good for you. Nuff said.

Sometimes it is best to think before you speak, even if it is the truth

That I needed to accept the Lord as my personal savior and follow Him to ensure my place in Heaven someday. I feel so sorry for the people who don't know what I do or seem to think it's unimportant.

The one lesson I instilled in my children was "treat others the way you want to be treated". It still remains most important to me. If we all treated everyone we meet this way, what a better world it would be.

If you want freedom, first you must show responsibility. My parents taught me that growing up. Example: I wanted to go see White Lion and Stryper. It was a school night. My mom called my friend's (Tams) mom and found out for sure that Tams' mom was chaperoning us to this concert event. Then she told me that if I did not get up and go to school the next day, I had better never ask to go out past 9pm on a school night ever again. Example #2: I was in a Marketing Education program in highschool which made me eligible to get out of school for a half day to work at a local grocery my senior year. The deal was that I must: 1. Maintain a B average (check) 2. Not ever miss work or school unless I was honestly too sick to go (check) 3. Come home when I am told to and call if I must absolutely be later than that (check) 4. Stay out of trouble (check) In exchange for total freedom after graduation with the exception that I MUST CALL if I was going to stay out all night. I graduated at 17, so that was a pretty sweet deal for me. Yep, freedom and responsibility for one's self go hand in hand.

I agree with this one. I dont trust people anymore. I have this used to be real friend who betrayed me that made me to think that all my friends are just like her but not all of them. I admit I'm still careful sometimes. I can't tell secrets to others and to my boyfriend which I consider as my husband so I must trust him but I can't because he said something that is related to that one I'm keepin in myself and once he found out he might leave me. Nobody even my relatives could help me. I dont blame them. Maybe the problem is me. It's me who don't trust people and who would rather choose keeping everything in myself.

I've learned that I can't make decisions based on other people. I have to make decisions based on me or else I will never be happy. People can give their opinions, but utlimately its what i need to do that I should decide

Good advice Vikings. I've just gone through what I thought was a year of terribly bad luck. It hit me right smack dab in the face while I was cleaning the other day that all of these events of the past year have been leading up to the answers of a prayer that I prayed almost a year ago. The prayer is not being answered in the way that I thought was best, but it's so much better than I could have ever dreamed up myself. I did have to go through some pain to get here and probably will have to go through some more before I reach the end, but it's oh, so worth it!

How to buy alot of items at wholesale. Instead of paying retail. Do not trust everyone. Even your best friend can rip you off.
