Why ban Guns, but not Cameras?

            They're both in animate objects.  Both are "point and shoot".  I can use either to feed or destroy someone.  Both can be used for good or bad acts.
It's not the object itself that is the problem, but how we use them...
So why should one be banned but not the other?
