How far back do you read your previous discussions?

Do you go over all of your previous discussions to see if any one new has posted a comment? I try to do that as well as check up on discussions that I particippated in.

I try to check on all of my discussions. Lately I have had to be selective to those I write comments to, but will rate each one if they are deserving of a rating.

Yes, I too am getting more selective. It cuts down on the poting but I get better converstion.

I also look at my unresolved discussions so I can choose the best response.

I tend to look back more on discussions i've posted, rather than responded to, unless i asked a question in my response or found the discussion particularly interesting.

I try to check back on all discussions and responses. Sometimes a response back to a response you make will start a conversation. To me that makes it much more interesting.

I try to get them all. Its what I like about e-mail it lets me know when there is a post and I can go back and respond to that one and while I'm in there I will read the response to my response and post again

I go back and rate each response, and I am trying to check a few times a day to see if new people have commented, there dosen't seem to be an easy way to know if you have rated all of your responders unless you put a comment and then you can skim your list and look for names other then your own -- If you or anyone else has a more efficient way of checking back and making sure you have missed anyone please let me know, because I can't imagine what it will be like after a few hundered posts. Thanks :)

I also try to make a coment and when I skim my list I too look for someones name other then my own. That is about the best way I have found for keeping track of new responses.

I am new so it has not been hard till yesterday.I received over 100 comments. I will be so far behind. I do plan on commenting on every comment that I have received though.

Same here. It is annoying when you take the time to post and not get a respnse back. I know it helps others to know that their response is read.

this is a very good idea I do it often. Sometimes, I respond to discussion posted 5, 7 months ago hoping the writer will still go back to it.

That is nice to know. Because sometimes I post a response that is a couple of months old and wonder if anyone goes back that far to check and respond. I always try to check my discussions, all of them, and also try to check back on ones I responded to to see if I got a response back.

Sometimes I will respond to people who post but not always. I'm use to using message boards that are set up differently here sometimes there are many discussion going on at one time because there are so many users. And I have alot of different sites I go to also this would make for alot of conversations going on at one time. :) I do like the way mylot is setup differently. It will take time for people like myself to get use to being able to make a comment on your own post to each individual.

Sometimes if I'm busy I will pick one day to really concetrate on checking my discussions and replying back to people that have responded in that time. the longer I'm on here the longer it takes to do this.

Though I usually wait for a few days or weeks before responding to them, I make sure that the last response in every discussion I started would be mine so that any new response to any of my discussions would immediately be noticed once I go to the list of discussions I've started since it will be the most recent and would surely be on the top of that list. As for those started by others, I randomly go through them. I sometimes would write a personal message to those whose comments I would like them to reply.
