Daft gadgets in our affluent society ...

They say folks are getting richer and richer ... gadgets are getting .. well gadgetier and gadgetier ... we wear telephones on our ears ... we can chat with anyone around the world ... cars are getting more and more like something out of Star Wars with all the technical gadgets and stuff they have in them these days ..
We even have ultra stretched limo's with plunge pools in them .. hmmm .. so do you reckon they will ever make a private jet with a swimming pool in it ... ?? And if they did how would they keep the water in when banking ??

Richer and richer? Guess I am not one of them "folks". LOL. I would love to invent one of those gadgets that would make me richer.

I'm not technically minded and it takes me ages to upgrade! I can't used to all these new fangled gadgets etc. As for the mobile phone, you can do everything on it now it seems, for me a mobile is just for texts and don't laugh I've even used the camera on it, but as for anything else, bluetooth? What's that, a whale's incisor? Don't ask me. The amount of different functions on a mobile phone now and aren't they small? I have big hands and having a little phone is no use to me! Just as well as I don't have the money to splash out on some of these daft technological devices!

That sounds like me (well not the big hands bit). My mum is up on all these all singing all dancing phones. I use mine to text and receive calls when I'm on the net (no broadband either) or out. If they invent one that makes tea and washes dishes I'll be tempted, but, until then give me one I can use to call and text with an idiots guide.
It took me long enough to change from vinyl and tapes to CD (and then only because my record player broke)
