Has anyone ever ordered/signed up with this place?

I've heard of them before a long time ago, it's The National Arbor Day Foundation? Guess this would be a question for US people. It costs either $10 or 15.00 dollars, and they send you 10 flowering trees, specific for your area, at the time of year they should be planted. You get a year membership with purchase discounts, the 10 flowering trees (6-12 inches tall) that are guaranteed to grow or replaced, & a tree magazine subscription. I'm just curious if anyone's ever ordered from them or had experience with them. Sounds like a pretty good deal, and if it's a scam, only out 10.00 lol. But I think they've been around awhile, I seem to recall stuff in the mail from them when I was younger. Here's a link with their website. Any info anyone???? Thanks! http://www.arborday.org/

I had heard of them before but I'd never signed up with them. Actually I heard about them a long time ago but nothing recently. Thank you for the link. I'm going to have to check into them. I know my land could use some trees for shade if nothing else.

It sounds like a great deal!! I'm going to try to remember to sign up this weekend. I love the flowering trees, we have one in our yard, and it is gorgeous when it blooms!!

This is a good question, and something I was wondering about also. I got a thing in the mail from them about a week ago. I ended up throwing it away, but maybe I should go visit their website, because having those trees would be great. I have heard of them for quite some time, maybe as much as 10 years ago, so I feel confident that they are legit. Too legit to quit, LOL!

LOL Yeah I remember them as a kid. I remember thinking wow how cool they give you trees lol. I'll probably do it, and like I said, if it's a scam, it's only 10 dollars or so. I just lost more then that returning something through the mail....

No, I have not done it. I think I may have heard of it many years ago, but not lately. It's a nice thing, if it's for real.

Yep, would be nice. I guess they're thing is they want trees planted-which is fine with me lol. I'll probably go ahead with it, like I said, it's only a few bucks if it ends up being a scam, but I got a feeling it's not.

i get things from them all the time. they seeds and plants you get are really good too. they are a great resource for kids as well. you can get all kinds of free teaching material from them. you dont have to be a teacher either just a parent or grandparent. they have all kinds of links you just have to look around there site for it. we got posters and books, and a vidoe from them last year showing different types of trees and how to tell the age of them. how to tell if they hav ever been sick or damaged etc. my kids loved it. it was all free of charge as well. they have really cool contest for kids too as far as writting , coloring and stuff. we home school so we use them alot. about the plants though they are worth the 10.00 i end up donating more to them and end up getting alot more plants fromt hem too. i think we spend about 50 a year with them and get a big package of stuff. we also help in doing awareness and donations for them too in our town. all the kids love it.

I went ahead and signed up a few months ago. They mailed out the trees, or sticks with roots lol. It wasn't what I was expecting, not really sure what I expected. I didn't expect huge saplings, but anyway...Got them planted around the house and yard. Most of them have sprouted some leaves and appear to be doing really good, especially after this last bout of rain. A few I'm not sure about, might have to get new ones. Definitely legit place I will say!! They have a lot of trees and shrubs available, lots of varities, glad I signed up!! Thanks for your response :)

My girlfriend's done this a few times, I think. I know she's mentioned receiving trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. So I'm fairly sure it's legit.
