I have a friend who had four of them and I had never seen them before, she woke them up and I couldn't believe what I saw, they were actually talking to each other and my friend who had a very loud voice was talking so she could be heard above these fluffy little things and I swear one said your talking too loud, I thought it was just so funny.

That is a good furby story! It is probably hard for anyone who has never seen 4 furbies talking at once to imagine how funny that is, but they are just just adorable. Did your friend understand the joke and laugh, too? Once I saw 7 furbies sitting in a circle. For a while they all talked excitedly to one another, but then suddenly one of them sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and they all fell asleep.

Do you know if it's possible to just have one furby and teach it anything? We have one that my mother in law gave my son and I'd like to get another but can't find them selling anywhere. I might have to check ebay. Just wondered if one is enough for fun, or if 2 would be better.

I had my own furby a long time ago, and I never knew what happened to it. I was thinking about a furby just yesterday for my son. I mentioned it to my mother-in-law and she had one that was my nephews and went ahead and gave it to us. He has been playing with it all day long! This one is dumb though cause the only thing it keeps saying is "Me coco sleep" and then snores. LOL We have a very lazy furby I think.

Regarding your question above, you can't teach them anything they don't already know, but they reveal what they know over time in phases. They might teach you something, though. When they haven't been played with enough they will do that repeatedly falling asleep thing and eventually get very whiny. One reason some people find furbies annoying is that once their personalities are "born" they need to be "fed" and hugged and played with in order to develop properly. Did you finally get one for your son? They are pretty cheap now. My favorite is the furby alarm clock. It says things like "It is 4 o'clock in the afternoon, time to have FUN!" or "It is 10 o'clock in the evening, time to SLEEP" In the morning it says "Wake up, wake up, it's a new day!"

I ended up getting one from my sister for him, and then my nephew gave us one that he didn't want anymore. Now the darn things just sit on the shelf. My son did rip off one of the furby's ears and now it says "OH LOUD SOUND" alot. LOL
