I love the bid up channels on Sky Tv . I watch them auctions on sky and bid on the internet as it saves the price of a call, I have had some brilliant buys and bought most of my Christmas presents last year from there . It was lovely as I could afford things I normally wouldn't be able to.As long as you do it with a reputable company it is brilliant .xx

I love these kinds of channels too. I watched them for a while before I fianlly took the plunge to buy anything, but when I did I never looked back. I even got my family in to them too. There are only 3 that I watch though as you can get some really good bargains from them.

I have never tried my hand in that, because I feel a person is selling of second hand goods. So what would be the quality.

My dad was always watching this when I went home to see the family, personally I just stick to Ebay, because I have had lots of bargains from there. Like anything when you buy there's always a risk, it's not something I'd do, I'd much rather watch sci-fi on Sky than bid up channels but each ot their own and keep up the bargaining hunt!

Well I have seen them on television these big up channels but never actually used them at all as I do not know how reputable they are but we do have another site for us Australians where I know they are a reputable company a couple of them actually that have been checked out by another company and will not allow them on their site unless they are reputable and so this year I shall be buying some great products from them as we can buy them in bulk as well and sell them which I believe is great as they have savings of half price and even more with some products.

I have always been sceptical of the shopping channels on sky. I must admit that I do watch them, I find it fascinating how the presenters can talk for so long about some of the products. The one that annoys me the most is Tony some one or other, with his exercise machine from the USA he is soooo loud. There was a big thing in the press a few momths ago about Auctionworld which was similar to BidTV but it never provided goods and charged high shipping, anyway Ofcom fined them and they pulled the plug. My dad once bought some frying pans which were supposed to make pancakes and you could flip them over for easy cooking. They arrived and were genuine rubbish, the mixture oozed out of the sides. To make matters worse we went to Woolworths a few weeks later, they had the same things for sale and cheaper LOL!. I agree with you, you have to deal with a reputable company. I know there are some good bargains to be had.
