What was the first poster on your wall as a kid?

Mine was put up in the 1960s or '70s, and it meant alot because it was seen as oh so cool to have posters, but they cost alot as I recall, which made them even more precious.

Bobby Sherman - Teen Idol
I had a full-length poster of Bobby Sherman. It came inside one of his albums. A friend gave me the poster. Loved his music. La La La; Julie, Julie, Do You Love Me. I wore those 45's down by playing them over and over. Drove my mother crazy too.

In the early 1970s, many of Britain's young girls went stark raving crazy over teen idols (David Cassidy; Jackson 5 &c.) from the US. They were on the cover of innumerous teen magazines; but I didn't read them. I used to favour the serious Rock periodicals like Melody Maker. Perhaps Bobby Sherman was in there. I cannot say.

The first poster I ever put up on my wall was when I was a very young teen. It was of Jim Morrison of the Doors who I thought was the coolest thing ever at that time in my life. It was a younger image of him in a denim shirt, black leather pants and shades. There was a black lab in the poster as well. Cheers!

Morrison was certainly cool! I used to be a major fan, although I no longer listen to his music for a variety of reasons.

The first poster I ever put up on my wall was of Randolph Mantooth who played Johnny Gage on the tv show Emergency. As a matter of fact, I had several posters of him. I still have pictures of him on my wall today.

The first anything I put on my wall was related to Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I had to of been 12, or 13. I can't remember exactly. It wasn't exactly a poster, it was just a bunch of photos taken out of magazines. He was quite the heart throb back then.

My first poster was put on my closet door. And I got to look at Shawn Cassidy as I fell asleep every night. LOL most here probably don't even know who he is. It was the late 1970's. I think he was followed by Leif Garret and then in the early 80's by Micheal Jackson (Thriller record came with a poster.)

I remember Shaun Cassidy: David's half-brother. He began as a Rock singer as I recall, became a teen idol; and a succesful actor. What's he doing these days? Leif Garrett made some good dancable Pop records in the late 1970s.

I had posters on my wall when i was 12, but at 13 I moved and I didn't put them up in the new place. I had Grease posters. I remember a huge poster of Olivia Newton John and Travolta.I had smaller ones but I can't remember what they were.
