In applying for a job, how do you prefer it to be done? Walk-in (go directly to the office) or online (send your resume through email or web-based application)? Why?

I like to deliver a job application in person best, so I can see the place and maybe have a chance to ask a question. I have sent some web based applications, but never heard from them. I like the old fashioned face-to-face encounters.

Depends. If you found the job on an online job search, apply online. If through newspaper, its better if you apply personally unless otherwise stipulated

In my experience I prefer walking in the company. I never have a succesful online application. Maybe because when you send online applications the email tends to be overlooked.

I would do both. First online and than call them up and than go in person.
