For those of you who are married or engaged... How did you ask your spouse/fiance to marry you? Or how were you asked to marry someone?

He got down on one knee at my 18th Birthday party, which was all girls, by the way. It wouldn't have mattered much how or where he proposed. He exceeded any expectations I could have had for a romantic proposal bcuz he's sooo NOT a romantic!

My husband actually didn't have to propose, we just always knew we were ment to get married. We were together 4 years before we got married and everyone said we always acted like a married couple and then a friend of ours just because priest and my husband was going back into the military and the wedding planning just kinda happened. Not romantic but we knew we were ment to be.

My partner and I had only been together about a week I think(we'd known each other for years though). It was on a Saturday. His football team were losing and we'd gone into a pub in the town. He asked me in front of a load of people from the group. Apparently, he'd been asking our friend if he should ask me while I was in the toilet! I said yes. His footy team lost but he was ecstatic because I had said yes. I think he thought I would say no because we had talked about it and I said I didn't really see the point in getting married! Well, I can't have him ask me knowing the answer! We've now been engaged for about 4 years with no plans to get married any time soon!
